Racist staff. Indians should avoid this hotel
Pros:

This was our second visit to Canopy by Hilton. We entered there first in Nov 2024.
Our booking was for 7th of Aug. Before that we went to the hotel on 30th July to ask if they could store 2 bags till we came because we were going on a cruise and carrying 4 bags was a waste of energy. We chatted with the central customer service and they said all Hilton hotels will store your bags before check in even if it is for more than a week as long as u have a confirmed booking. We had already prepaid the full booking amount. But when I went to inquire at Canopy by Hilton in the evening of 29th or 30th the lady at the reception was shockingly rude. She said that we do not store bags and shooed me off. Just because I was brown and not white. The same behaviour was faced on check in. The couple in front of us in the check in line was give 2 bottles of mineral water even without asking. This was because they were white skinned people from the USA. When it was our turn we were not given any water bottles. When my wife pointed out that all Hiltons give bottled water in their rooms, then she reluctantly gave us w bottles, with a scorned look. Just because we were brown skinned? This discrimination we have never faced before in Iceland and that too on two different occasions by 2 different persons, but at the same hotel.
It will be good if the management gives proper training before actually starting their jobs. Also the management should have a Zero Tolerance Policy towards such discrimination.
The hotel otherwise is very good in location, right inside the central area. The rooms are good and comfortable. They do not give any bathroom amenities. For any dental kit, shaving kit, comb etc you have to beg the receptionist. And if u find a racist receptionist, she will say go to the next door shop.

Excellent stay in an excellent area
Pros:

This hotel is located in an amazing location. Bus stop #6 is less than a minute walk. Most tour companies pick up from here. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Rainbow street is within a few mins walk. The hotel itself is lovely. The room was clean. One of the best showers eve. Breakfast was amazing. The staff is awesome. I would stay here again

Wonderful stay
Pros:

I would highly recommend staying here. The rooms are new looking. Very nice lobby. The included breakfast is amazing. The location cant be best. Walkable to most everything. The main pedestrian street and rainbow street are just behind the hotel. You can walk two blocks to bus stop 6 , where all the tour busses pick you up. The rooms dont have ac, but it isnt needed in iceland. However the rooms do have windows that open and a fan, if needed. I have stayed here several times and never need ac. The rooms have an iron and ironing board coffee maker, safe, hair dryer, nice showers with good hot water and great water pressure. The bed are comfortable. Most of all, the staff are incredible. The housekeepers are kind and hardworking, the breakfast staff in the restaurant bar are are very efficient and kind. The front desk folks, esp. Jesus, Jana, and Sera sp? ( sorry, i may have messed up a fee name spellings) Are all amazing. Very kind and helpful with directions or hotel information. I look forward to returning. Thank you for a great stay.

Food, convenient location, staff all exceptional🎉
Pros:

Corner window which gave the room a bright welcoming atmosphere. The room faced a pleasant cheery plaza.

Cons:

There was nothing that could have been improved. Even with a busy full hotel the staff were prompt and pleasant.

Beautiful hotel, great location, but don't stay in room 302 on the weekends.
Pros:

Loved the location - right in the heart of the city.

Cons:

Room #302 - the all-night party's in the street kept us awake until 4:00am! Friday & Saturday night. Horrible

Very good breakfast, location, room view , hotel decoration

Cons:

We were disappointed because in a premium room, the curtains are supposed to darken 100% and that didn't happen, we had to specifically request slippers, there were no cotton buds in the room. The TV wasn't working and we had to ask for it to be fixed. There was no chaise long that was listed in the room description.
