Pros:

The views, the staff and the cleanliness. Olivia was particularly helpful and pleasant

Cons:

A little dated but it's a lovely building and it's trying to keep the character. The afternoon tea could have had less cakes and more food such as wraps or sausage rolls

Brilliant spot, gorgeous town. Value for money.
Pros:

Amazing absolutely spectacular spot.

Cons:

I can see some refurbishment has been going on, hopefully will continue as this beautiful building deserves to be upkept.
There were two people vaping inside the hotel which I found quite disturbing. And I was surprised this was allowed?

Staff work hard to make you’ll stay enjoyable. Dogs and owners have their own dining room.
Pros:

Location is very attractive looking down over a pretty Harbour. Rooms with sea view are worth paying a bit extra for.
Has a lift.
The manager and staff were very helpful and friendly to us and our dog.
The hotel has a dining room dedicated to Dogs!

Cons:

The hotel would have been extremely grand in its day.
The rooms are clean.
It would be so easy to put on a bad review, as others have done, because it really does need a makeover, but the Hotel has a delightful charm that makes up for everything.
The restaurant food is basic, but there are many choices outside at different venues.
I would love to go back to this hotel.

Pros:

The location was nice and the cook as well

Cons:

No staff arrived in the morning so breakfast was very delayed. The cook was so nice and gave me something to go since I needed to start walking. Everything was not like the pictures and pretty run down. The window in my room would not even open

Beautiful place to stay, very comfortable.
Pros:

Our second stay at Portpatrick hotel and it was every bit as good as the first. Lovely sea-view ground floor room which the hotel happily switched us to before our stay due to my mobility, helpful staff, spacious room with big comfy bed, lovely cooked breakfast, very convenient parking - all in all a really good stay.

Cons:

Staircase carpet could have done with a hoover, but that's being very picky.
