Direkt am Strand mit riesigem Frühstücksbuffet und schöner Poolanlage!
Pros:

Direkt am Strand gelegen, 2 grosse Pools, riesiges Frühstücksbuffet! Wir haben unerwartet und überraschend ein Zimmerupgrade erhalten. Die Kinder haben sich über den direkten Poolzugang sehr gefreut.

Très bel hôtel à Bentota. Coin idéal pour se baigner dans l'océan.
Pros:

Bel hôtel à Bentota, qui est sur la côte avec une très belle vue sur l'océan, idéal si vous comptez vous baigner durant une grande partie de votre séjour. Le personnel est très accueillant et très serviable. Propositions variées pour le petit-déjeuner, allant de plats occidentaux à des plats locaux.

Cons:

Les porteurs ont été un peu brutaux en portant une de nos valises. La valise a eu une roue cassée et une poignée à moitié arrachée.

Absolut erholsamer Kurzurlaub

Sehr herzlicher Empfang von Aruni, schneller check-in, Zimmer upgrade erhalten; großzügiges Zimmer und Balkon mit seaview; geräumiges Bad mit Pflegeprodukten; Wasserkocher mit Tee/ Kaffee; kleiner Kühlschrank; Safe im Schrank;
reichhaltiges Frühstück local als auch western food; breiter Sandstrand direkt vor der Tür, der zu ausgiebigen Spaziergängen einlädt; 2 Pools, davon ein richtig langer zum Schwimmen; das gesamte Personal war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit

Cons:

Wie in allen Hotels in diesen Breitengraden gibt es klimabedingte Stellen, die regelmäßig überarbeitet werden müssen. Rissige Wände, Schimmelbildung etc. kommen schneller, als einem lieb ist. Das Management ist sich dessen bewusst und sorgt in der Nebensaison für Abhilfe.

Location of property at sea

Cons:

We encountered many issues
1. The towel card : we were not given the towel card at the time of check in and when we went for swiming , we were not given the towel and staff rudely asked us to get the towel card first from reception , i travelled in swim suit to reception and there they said that travel cards are exhausted and they send one person along with me back to swiming pool and somehow we managed to get the towel [ i am not able to understand how such things can happen ]
2. Room Service was very poor , many times the phone was not picked up
3. We stayed there for 2 nights and both the day we had same breakfast !!
4. Few activities were mentioned outside the dining area but we couldn’t find them that where it happened
5. We stayed at 2nd floor and almost all the time their house keeping trolly was out side our room for 2 days

Good location and good stay.
Pros:

This property is right on the beach and our room opened directly on to the pool which the children loved. The beach has lovely soft sand and a Long Beach to walk along. There is also a walking track alongside the beach if walking on sand isn't your thing. The water was too rough when we stayed. The beds were very comfortable.
The breakfast was good and had a good selection of different options. The passionfruit was fabulous.
The resort has a gym which isn't advertised anywhere.
The rooms are large.
There is a very good restaurant right outside the resort across the railway tracks called bamboo.

Cons:

The rooms are a little dated, but doesn't affect the quality of stay.
The rooms would benefit from a drying rack out on the balcony to dry swimmers.

Mixed feelings … Mostly positive. A good and a well maintained property
Pros:

Ekho surf is easily one of the great options if you are in Bentota, Located just on the beach it gives you private access to a beach. The pool is huge and well maintained. If you have a ground floor room you just have a private access to the pool. The buffet menu is elaborate whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner. It has all the facilities of a good resort. A very well maintained property all together.

Cons:

Indian dishes on the menu. They so need to have an Indian chef. If you are having such an elaborate Indian menu, you need to do justice to that which I specifically found missing. The taste, availability and presentation of Indian dishes is really bad.

Also the train track just behind the property literally gives a shaky feeling if you are in activity room and train horn blares even when your room doors are closed.
