Ipanema Holiday Resort

Our allotted parking spot was already taken. We were directed 3 times to get to a vacant parking spot, and told that we may have to move again.
The ONE bbq was not working. We were told that it needed a part and wouldn't arrive until after we had vacated.
The cook top was on a 5 minute timer, making cooking a meal very difficult
Nowhere to sit inside other than the bed
Nowhere to put our cases. We stored them on the balcony
My husband cut his lip on a broken rim of a wine glass. Should not have been there
Very small for a resort apartment
Re initial entry into our apartment 602B, couldn't understand why the door labelled '602' did not say 602A and 602B. We were not to know that 602B was behind door 602. I would suggest that 602A and B be displayed on the door 602.
It took 3 phones calls to get finally get access to our room.

Kitchen and bathroom

I wont say it was something i didn't like, we had a big TV that we couldn't watch, so for a couple of days we watched the laptop, bought an HDMI lead plugged it in and was able to watch YouTube and Netflix from the laptop to the TV

We paid the bond on our way to the hotel, they said the key will be in the safe and when we got to the hotel, and called for code to access code, they said our room was cancelled. They didn't offer to assist and said they could not help. Lucky we were able to get accommodation with Oaks who actally have reception on site and staff are so much better.

On the room balcony had a chair with rust which is a hazard.
An elderly person would had difficulty to get in and out of the bath/shower and it doesn’t have handle which is a hazard as well.
Sauna is warm not hot. Disappointing!

The bed was hard every thing was old and outdated

The facilities are very old. Our room lights were very dark, one of the light bulb was broken. Gym didn’t have any yoga mats or towels and missed a lot of dumbbells. The reception only opens from 9am to 3pm. As tourists we usually left the hotel before 9am and came back after hours everyday so it was hard to talk to the staff.

La chambre que j’ai eu n’est pas celle que j’ai réserver.
J’ai eu le droit à 2 lit simple rapprochée pour faire un lit 2 personnes.
J’ai eu le droit à une sorte de baignoire pour faire office de douche alors que j’avais réserver pour une douche à l’italienne.
Les carreaux de la salle de bain sont casser
La Clim à l’extérieur est rouiller et met des traces partout au sol de la terrasse.
On m’a refuser mon paiement en ligne booking 3 fois, j’ai du arrivé sur place et payer sur place.

Le bruit de la route

Room was not cleaned, shower glass clearly was not cleaned at all . Spider webs on the veranda that looked like been there for a while and 2 big Spiders live there so we didn't use the veranda.

Had views of the sea & the street, it was bright & plenty room.
