It was ok, but won’t stay again
Pros:

Good location to arena

Cons:

Very budget, it may be cheaper but then they hit you with charges for everything….only saved by the lovely lady in the office. £1.50 for a cup of tea when it’s basically only a tea bag and a couple of sachets of milk?

Handy for English Institute of Sport/Utilita Arena.
Pros:

I booked this accommodation for location and price. I liked the secure parking at this property.
Check in was efficient. My room was basic, but satisfactory for my one night stay. Vending machines in the foyer, and a limited bar, plus hot drinks from reception
As this property is close to the English Institute of Sport, it is popular with athletes and swimmers of all levels. I shared a lift with a couple of members of a Canadian team.

Close to Centertainment, with its food outlets, cinema and bowling. Free Parking (but gets busy, especially when there are events at the Utilita Arena (or whatever its latest sponsor is).

Attercliffe is a place that I quite like. It was very important and prosperous during the Industrial Revolution, with many influential figures in the birth of the Steel City such as Benjamin Huntsman and James Hatfield .When I lived in Sheffield, I used to volunteer at the Zion Graveyard (open Sunday and some Wednesday afternoons)where some of the 'movers and shakers' of the era are buried. Probably most prominent is Mary Ann Rawson, who was a contemporary of William Wilberforce in the anti slavery movement.
Attercliffe had a bit of a sleazy reputation, following the closure of the large steelworks in the area, with a few 'adult shops' and clubs opening up, but it's starting to come alive again.
I used to enjoy walking along the canal (and 5 weirs walk) that runs through Attercliffe, from Tinsley to the City Centre. We often saw kingfishers and an otter once. It also passes by one of the famous locations from The Full Monty

I would certainly stay here again, when I need a budget base for one night.

Cons:

Nothing that I can think of
