Multiple mentions of only 'ok' cleanliness, tired/dilapidated rooms, shower seal falling off and some hygiene/maintenance issues (leaking shower, hanging toilet door).
Service
8.5
Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, helpful and providing good service in several reviews, though a few guests found staff a little blasé.
Location
9.5
Consistently praised: excellent, central location close to Grand Central station, city centre, conference/tour pickup points and many bars/shops—very convenient for sightseeing and transport.
Room Quality
6
Rooms described as small, basic and tired with maintenance problems (shower door not closing, leaking, no hooks, flat pillow, toilet door issues); comfortable bed noted by several guests despite small size.
Amenities
8
Typical IBIS Budget offering: limited facilities but reliable essentials (free Wi‑Fi everywhere, TV, basic room facilities); nearby shops and restaurants add convenience.

Mixed comments: some call it reasonable for the location and local prices, others note it may seem pricey compared with non-local markets; overall perceived as fair for a budget city-centre stay.

Pros:

I really enjoyed my stay. The location is so convenient, only a kilometer to Grand Central Station and to the city centre. Breakfast buffet doesn’t have a lot of options but is plentiful and of good quality. Staff are friendly and were helpful when I had a question.

Pros:

Good location as i was arriving by train, Grand Central station only a short walk away, less than 10 minutes, also close to city hall, with a multitude of bars, shops and restaurants in the heart of the city, it was slso very close to tour puck up points, as i was doing full day tours during my stay, might seem pricey for a budget hotel, but remember Ireland is quite expensive in general, so although i could get a 4star hotel in the UK for the price, you certainly won't in Belfast city, the room was quite small, but not a problem as i was out all day, justed needed a place that was convenient and close enough to where i needed to be, which it was, bed as very comfortable and staff very friendly and provided great service, would recommended the hotel

Pros:

Privacy was limited as you can hear/smell whatever someone is doing in the toilet since it had a gap at the bottom, it was hanging off the hinges anyway so wouldn’t of shut properly and didn’t have a lock.

Pros:

It is an IBIS budget so the facilities are limited. The location is excellent for transport links and the city centre.
The cleanliness was ok…but not great. Staff were a bit blasé. I appreciate you get asked the same questions but this seemed to annoy them.
Breakfast was limited (tea, coffee, pastries and toast)

Pros:

The room was clean enough but quite small and basic, with little space to store or hang things. The bed was comfortable. The shower cubicle opened directly on to the room (its door did not close properly so it leaked). The toilet door did not have a lock.
Breakfast was OK.

Adequate. For two nights. For one person. A little dilapidated. The shower door had the bottom seal falling off. Kinda creepy. NO frills.

A budget stay, right at the heart of the city
Pros:

The budget Ibis at Belfast was right at the heart of the city although I guess we were not the first to turn up at the the wrong central Ibis!!!
The rooms were quite basic as you would expect but includes a TV & shower/loo. The rooms could have included more hooks though.
Finally, the additional cost of breakfast could have been better. Yes, coffee/tea, juice, cereal, cold platter etc. But what about the cooked brekkies? Non, existant but strangely, there was a big metal pot of hot baked beans though!!!!

Attention needed .
Pros:

Room was a bit tired - needed touching up a bit .
Timer light in toilet was set to 5 seconds so if you wanted a sit-down you had to keep moving about . Maybe an extra pillow could be added to the room as the one supplied was rather flat .

Pros:

The room & its facilities were compact, which we expected, but for 2 people were fine for a short stay.
Staff always available & all areas of the hotel were kept clean.
Very convenient for sightseeing & surrounded by an excellent choice of restaurants & traditional pubs.
Would be happy to choose this type of accommodation again for a short break
