A huge, huge, huge thank you to the Amomoxtli staff for helping pull off the most incredible proposal... the staff was in on it, helping to surprise me, under the guise of a hotel photoshoot. The hotel itself was simply magic: kind, attentive staff, immaculate rooms, gorgeous views of the cliffs of Tepotzlan, enjoyed lounging by the pool

I have stayed at a lot of luxary resorts all over the world, this was BY FAR the best one I have ever stayed at. I have 0 complaints, which is rare for me. Every single thing here was perfect. From the arrivial, they provide you a tour of the property which feels authentic, they take their time to give you the tour (shoutout to Edgardo!) and it felt like they genuinely cared about you. Then, we sat near the pool until 8PM, drinks are served until then which is such a nice feature when hotel check in’s are always at 3-4PM. They have fireplaces by the pool, they provide you with a complementary pool bag and bug spray, along with treats. We then went to dinner on property, which is Michelin star level. Very fast service, and it was open until 10PM. They also had TVs for the World Cup game located in the restaurant, living room area, and pool bar. Santiago was our waitor, and he was great. My stomach was upset one night, and he catered the food to simpler meals. All together we got to try the duck, spring rice, mushroom pozole (THIS was 10/10), chocolate Mexican cake, and guacamole y tostadas. The rooms are incredible, we opted for the below deck with the fireplace and it was so nice to sit outside at night. The rooms are super clean, good flow for a shower, and bathrobes everywhere. Now onto the spa…….. WOW. I had two people working on my back, and my boyfriend got a deep tissue massage. It was the best massage I have ever gotten. They had sound bowls at the end, and the menu for the spa was almost 5 pages to choose from. If you do not go to the spa one day, they have a complementary meditation, followed by yoga every morning. You get coffee and pastries delivered to your room every morning, complementary, and we would sit on the patio before going to yoga. It was, again, amazing. Lastly, the staff. I have always found that I am influenced by how good a hotel is based on the staff, and how they treat you. One evening, we accidentally locked ourselves out of the room (in our bathrobes, oops!) and the staff were there opening the door within 5 minutes. The service was SUPERB. They always had people working, always attending to the clients. And, genuinely nice people. Spanish is obviously their first language, but enough spoke English to get around, and if you have some broken Spanish yourself along with Google translator, you will be just fine. The town (Al Centro) is also super close to the hotel. We would WhatsApp the hotel, and they arranged taxis for us. The same went for a taxi to the airport, the hotel arranged for this, it had AC and was a big car. You can charge it right to the room. I hope to be back here, truly an amazing experience.

There is no privacy in rooms you can hear everything from the top, from the side rooms
And if you wanna rest at your balcony the same you may hear everything the other room is chatting

Like many places some things good some things bad.

Las facilidades muy buenas, la alberca, la temperatura de la alberca genial. Los cuartos amplios y limpios.
Cuentan con una fogata que es mas vista qué calentador pero muy acogedora y cómoda la terraza. El café a primera hora en la terraza, es gran detalle.

Really a beautiful place to say the least! Staff was incredible, grounds, food and spa! Will return again soon!

La alberca (la temperatura) y la comida

Stunning setting with the lush grounds and mountain backdrop. Very peaceful and relaxing. Rooms are large and we had a private patio for morning coffee. The restaurant is very good - both dinner and daily breakfast. Staff are incredibly attentive and helpful.

My husban and I recently stayed at Amomoxtli, and it was absolutely wonderful. We were looking for a peaceful escape, and this beautiful property delivered on every front.

The environment is breathtakingly serene. We loved spending time by the pool, and the spa services are truly something special—I highly recommend booking the ceremonial temazcal for two and the "harmonize yourself" facial! It was exactly what we needed to completely unwind.

What really stood out to us, though, was the incredible service. The staff is exceptionally kind, welcoming, and accommodating, even making sure everything was perfectly sorted for our very early morning departure. We also really appreciated the warm and friendly atmosphere among the other guests at the resort.

We loved our stay and would absolutely love to return in the future. If you want a beautiful, relaxing getaway with top-tier staff, Amomoxtli is the perfect place to go!

Everything was wonderful. The staff was very kind and accommodating, and the property was even more beautiful than the pictures.

A short taxi ride into town, lovely and helpful reception, a smaller boutique hotel with the most delicious food, drinks, beautiful mountain views, and feel of being secluded in the jungle. We indulged in the outdoor massages, which were lovely, but there were many other treatments and included activities that looked interesting. We skipped the sauna and tub in favour of the pool, the mountain views were unbeatable. Felt quiet, exclusive, and serene. Would stay again!
