A very warm welcome at reception. The room was lovely, clean and well equipped with various tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom was also well appointed with lovely products. Good breakfast selection.
Room Great, Breakfast good
Nothing
Wonderful location! Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable, as was the bed. Hot tub was lovely.
The only thing we didn’t like was that when we used the shower the water didn’t drain away so the bath filled up. On investigation the plug hole was absolutely blocked with a build up of hair…
An excellent room, very helpful staff, super breakfast.
Slightly more remote than anticipated.
Big room, well equipped.
Good breakfast
TV in the bedroom was not viewable from the bed.
Dining area was more like a tea-room, and not the warm, cosy feeling we would have liked
Location was great .. very clean and beautiful place
Food was gorgeous .. fabulous oysters !

Lovely clean room, friendly staff, great restaurant, great location
Great location, friendly helpful attentive staff, delicious breakfast, lovely room, comfy bed, quality toiletries in bathroom.
Noisy fan, looked a little tired in some areas (cracks on bathroom wall) grubby hallway floor.
Location
Chestnut group didn't give a dam about staffing and customer points allocated to their reward scheme, the place was taken over 11months ago and still not taking our reward card . Very poor customer relations.
Also many guests were complaining about food taking a long time after a long wait to take the order.
Very limited menu with 2 fish dishes,
2 vegetarian dishes and a steak.when asked the waitress about any other options she bluntly told us to order 2 starters instead.
So won't be going back again after we had a wonderful time there before it was took over
We had a fabulous short break for a special occasion. We enjoyed everything about the hotel. The food was delicious, location perfect and staff were beyond helpful. We’ll be back!
We can’t think of anything.
Breakfast was good but noticed some of the food was uncovered and fly’s were landing on the fruit The conservatory blind above were very dusty and full of dead flys
More attention to the dining area
Nice location, attractive walled garden, good parking. Breakfast good and hot food cooked to order.
Shame that no top opener windows in our room given the v hot temperatures. Something perhaps to consider next time they replace windows.
