disappointing
Pros:

The view from the terrace

Cons:

Don't get me wrong, we usually like the simple family hotels in Italy. But the whole experience was disappointing an definitely not up the price they charge the rooms during summer.
Overall the staff is not unpleasant, but not welcoming either and a bit helpless. A few are nice but not sure some of them are quite happy working there...
Special mention to the all the "dont's" rules sign in the bedroom as a welcome pack.
The beds are old and really uncomfortable. Bedroom fridge did not work. A member of the staff told us it was functional when we asked him to come and check. It is indeed if you consider the light lit when you open the door and the inside temperature is 20 degrees celsius...
Pool opening times and obligation to wear swimming caps... We didn't go even with the full summer heat.
Dinner is ok but don't expect much in your plate.
Worst of all is the soundproofing, we were almost living with our neighbors whether they were in the room next door or in the hallway.
I'll leave you with the best: because of all the above we decided to shorten our stay after 3 days (on 5 total) without requiring a refund since we had paid in advance. When we advised the person at the reception we would leave the next day at some time in the PM : his only answer was : "ok, let me check if you can have a late checkout" ...

Excellent location. Hotel is okay.
Pros:

Beautiful view! Could not be better.

Cons:

Accommodations were a little uncomfortable. The bed was uncomfortable, breakfast area had a beautiful view but could not be enjoyed because of bees, few staff spoke English.

Posizione e vista eccezionale a colazione

Cons:

Le persone dello staff non erano antipatiche, ma nemmeno simpatiche...qualche sorriso o parola in più non guastava.
Il materasso del letto era veramente scomodo...dolori alla schiena al risveglio, tra l'altro mi sembravano piuttosto sfondati e datati.

Pros:

Quasi esclusivamente la posizione, davvero ottima. È vicino ad alcune calette molto belle e, con un po’ di organizzazione, si possono raggiungere a piedi almeno un paio di spiagge; per il resto è praticamente indispensabile avere un mezzo. Il punto forte in assoluto sono i tramonti dalla terrazza, davvero spettacolari. La pulizia della struttura e della camera è abbastanza buona.

Cons:

Non siamo rimasti soddisfatti del nostro soggiorno, soprattutto considerando il prezzo pagato. Il personale si è dimostrato in più occasioni poco cordiale e poco disponibile. Il servizio, a nostro avviso, è praticamente inesistente: alcune volte salutavamo entrando o uscendo e non ricevevamo nemmeno risposta. Un atteggiamento che, soprattutto in una struttura ricettiva, lascia davvero molto a desiderare. Un episodio che ci ha lasciati particolarmente perplessi è avvenuto l’ultimo giorno. Dovendo partire la sera, abbiamo chiesto semplicemente se fosse possibile fare una doccia prima della partenza. Ci è stato risposto che sarebbe costato 10 euro. Una richiesta che, considerando soprattutto quanto avevamo già speso per il soggiorno, abbiamo trovato davvero assurda e poco accogliente. Ci saremmo aspettati un minimo di disponibilità, soprattutto nei confronti di ospiti che avevano appena concluso il soggiorno. Anche la qualità-prezzo è, secondo noi, decisamente negativa: la struttura è molto costosa rispetto a ciò che offre. Alcuni dettagli, inoltre, ci hanno lasciati abbastanza perplessi. L’acqua in camera aveva un fortissimo odore e sapore di cloro, quasi di candeggina, davvero molto intenso. In più, dalle tubature proveniva a tratti odore di fogna, cosa che non ci aspetteremmo da una struttura di questo livello. Anche la piscina non ci è sembrata particolarmente curata: i bordi presentavano evidenti tracce verdi di melma, dando una sensazione generale di scarsa manutenzione. Abbiamo anche provato a cenare una sera in hotel. Alcune cose erano buone: le panelle erano molto buone e anche l’antipasto di cozze gratinate ci è piaciuto parecchio. Purtroppo, però, anche il servizio durante la cena ci ha lasciati insoddisfatti: ad esempio, il pane non ci è stato nemmeno portato e abbiamo dovuto chiederlo noi. Abbiamo poi ordinato una pasta con bisque di gamberi che, purtroppo, era quasi completamente cruda e quindi poco piacevole da mangiare.

La vista incantevole.

Cons:

La struttura “accoglie” i clienti con due pagine di regole da seguire. Sembra in generale che ti facciano un favore ad ospitarti, come se uno soggiornasse gratis. Lo staff è poco cordiale, al limite dello scontroso. La colazione non ha molta scelta, decisamente sbilanciata sul dolce, e non varia molto di giorno in giorno. C’è spesso disorganizzazione nella gestione della colazione stessa: es. mancano le posate e nessuno le rimette, se finisce qualcosa non viene riportato.

Pros:

The hotel is charming and full of character. The room was comfortable with a small patio facing west. The bed was really comfortable fell asleep every time I laid on it. Lovely shower room. Plenty of storage.
The hotel was decorated with antiques relating to puppetry and theatre. Very charming and stylish. There were plenty of shared areas including a huge swimming pool and glorious restaurant facing the setting sun. Food excellent.
All the sraff, without exception, were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The views of this incredible coast are outstanding.

Cons:

The location is just off the main road to San Vito la Copela, and there is no accessible ways of getting to the coast on foot without having to walk along this road. There is a road and path down from the hotel to the coast which is gated and locked. You do need a car if you stay here.
