La struttura “accoglie” i clienti con due pagine di regole da seguire. Sembra in generale che ti facciano un favore ad ospitarti, come se uno soggiornasse gratis. Lo staff è poco cordiale, al limite dello scontroso. La colazione non ha molta scelta, decisamente sbilanciata sul dolce, e non varia molto di giorno in giorno. C’è spesso disorganizzazione nella gestione della colazione stessa: es. mancano le posate e nessuno le rimette, se finisce qualcosa non viene riportato.

The hotel is charming and full of character. The room was comfortable with a small patio facing west. The bed was really comfortable fell asleep every time I laid on it. Lovely shower room. Plenty of storage.
The hotel was decorated with antiques relating to puppetry and theatre. Very charming and stylish. There were plenty of shared areas including a huge swimming pool and glorious restaurant facing the setting sun. Food excellent.
All the sraff, without exception, were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The views of this incredible coast are outstanding.

Cons:

The location is just off the main road to San Vito la Copela, and there is no accessible ways of getting to the coast on foot without having to walk along this road. There is a road and path down from the hotel to the coast which is gated and locked. You do need a car if you stay here.

Pros:

L’emplacement était très bien, parking privé pour se garer facilement, cadre magnifique, hôtel très reposant. Le personnel était très accueillant et surtout les chambres étaient très propres, le ménage était toujours bien fais.

Spektakulärer Panoramablick, gutes sizilianisches Essen und ein großer Pool
Pros:

Das Hotel Pocho hat vor allem eine herausragende Lage: etwas erhöht am Hang, mit einer traumhaften Terrasse und weitem Panoramablick auf die umliegenden Berge und das Meer. Besonders beim Frühstück und Abendessen ist dieser Ausblick wirklich außergewöhnlich und einer der großen Pluspunkte des Hauses.
Auch das Essen war für die Gegend vergleichsweise auf hohem Niveau. Die Gerichte waren abwechslungsreich, typisch sizilianisch und preislich vollkommen angemessen. Das war insgesamt sehr überzeugend.
Das Haus selbst ist innen sehr individuell, aber auch extrem überladen dekoriert. Es gibt kunsthistorisch interessante Vitrinen mit Büchern, Silberwaren, historischen Puppen und Marionetten, was dem Hotel einen besonderen Charakter gibt. Gleichzeitig wirkt vieles etwas zu vollgestellt.
Der Pool ist für eine Drei-Sterne-Anlage ungewöhnlich groß, in L-Form angelegt und sogar mit Sprungbrett ausgestattet. Die Fläche rundherum ist sehr großzügig, wirkt gestalterisch aber etwas unausgeschöpft; die Liegen stehen fast etwas verloren dort. Eine Poolbar oder eine etwas atmosphärischere Gestaltung hätten dem Bereich gutgetan. Stattdessen gibt es einen Lifeguard, der den Pool beaufsichtigt.

Insgesamt ein Hotel mit spektakulärer Lage, sehr gutem Ausblick und gutem sizilianischem Essen, aber auch mit deutlichen Abstrichen bei Zimmern, Bädern, Ausstattung.

Cons:

Einige Möbelstücke, etwa auf der Terrasse, ebenso wie das Mobiliar in den Zimmern und die Bäder, sind sichtbar in die Jahre gekommen. Die Dusche war eher eng und mit einer Falttür ausgestattet. Man sollte wissen, dass das Hotel recht abseits liegt. Im direkten Umfeld gibt es keine Infrastruktur; dafür muss man nach San Vito Lo Capo fahren, was etwa acht Minuten mit dem Auto dauert. Der Weg zum nächstgelegenen Strand ist ebenfalls etwas anspruchsvoll: Man geht etwa zehn Minuten bergab durch eine Pforte, für die man einen Schlüssel erhält. Der Strand selbst ist felsig. Sandstrände erreicht man eher nach etwa 10 bis 15 Minuten Autofahrt.
