this property was fabulous, centrally located, and the bed was most comfortable! The staff were helpful and I would return there on my next trip!!! loved love love the place…
there was nothing I did not like about it, except it should be noted that there is no elevator, and some of the apartments are upstairs… we had a apartment on the first floor, which made it real nice.
The location, historic charm, nice decor
The bathroom literally smelled like sewage for the when we entered and the entire stay. Also the bedroom smelled of sweat/body odor. The entry hallway light was on a motion sensor so when you used the bathroom in the night the very bright light would turn on.
Amazing position, very clean, great communication
We ended our two week Scotland trip in Edinburgh and this was the perfect place to stay. The location made everything walkable. The beds were very comfortable, the place was very clean, wonderful linens, and having a mini kitchen made it a breeze to eat a quick eat in breakfast before a day of touring. I’m so glad I found this place to stay.
Nothing
Huge room with a great location
Staff never responded to my arrival request email and we were left at 7:30 am trying to contact staff on the emergency number with no response. We ended up paying to have our bags stored at a private vendor
Excellent location for seeing all of Edinburgh’s famous sights. Lots of dining options and fun pubs in the neighborhood, too. Plus staff was exceptional and allowed us early check in which was greatly appreciated after a red-eye flight. The property is in an amazing historic building, yet very modern with many thoughtful amenities.
We liked everything!
Appartamento delizioso in pieno centro, ben accessoriato
Great stay perfect location helpful staff definitely be back if in Edinburgh again.
Noisy neighbours but that's not a hotel fault.
The property’s location was excellent and close to many attractions, restaurants, and transportation. The views of the castle were excellent. Additionally, the beds were comfortable, and the apartment was clean and well-maintained.
We requested an additional blanket but were told that none were available. The listing also mentioned a shared washing machine; however, it was not functioning when we arrived, and we ended up spending an additional £100 on laundry services.
Additionally, it was often difficult to determine when staff were available. We ran out of toilet paper during our stay, and contacting staff for assistance was challenging. The staff was kind where we did speak with them.
There is no lift in the building, and access is via a beautiful spiral staircase, which may be difficult for guests with heavy luggage or mobility concerns.
Location, cleanliness and staff behaviour

Doskonała lokalizacja, miła obsługa, komfortowe warunki.
trochę nieszczelne okna, ale jak się podkręciło kaloryfer, to problem z głowy ;)
An excellent location, located right next to Edinburgh's beautiful castle. Such good value compared to other hotels I've stayed in Edinburgh. The bathroom was basic and a little chilly but the room was really lovely - bright and spacious with a well equipped kitchenette. There was even a small private terrace.
The communal area felt a bit "Faulty Towers" on arrival but it was such a pleasant surprise when entering the room. It was May, so understandably the heating was off, but the bathroom did feel chilly.
The apartment as in a lovely location and had a beautiful lounge. One bedroom was lovely. There was tea , biscuits and coffee in the Kitchen. Plus washing up liquid and sponge and tea towelThere were plenty of large fluffy towels and shower gel etc in the bathroom. Loads of toilet rolls. The flat was cleaned each day. Useful guide to Edinburgh and the istory of the building.
The second bedroom was really poky - the flat had been divided up oddly. No windows or ventilation in the second bedroom or bedside lamps.
The fridge was missing shelves in the door and there were not enough bowls and knives for 6 people. The bathroom was ok but very small and leading off the living room .
Emplacement parfait pour visiter la vieille ville à pied.
Check-in en dehors des heures d’ouverture de la réception très facile.
Appartement bien agencé
