Loved the staff. They were so kind and very accommodating.
Wish the pool would have been open later.
Very nice and centrally located. The rooftop bar and pool were very nice and the live music in the lobby bar was amazing..
Great coffee! Super friendly baristas Creighton, Cameron & Janqueisha. Really great pastries too! Decor and furnishings are cozy and make you want to slow down and hang out.
The Barnett was a unique gem, the location to our destination was perfect. Our room was clean and fresh. They offered room service and even reached out via text to ensure they were able to give the room a refresh. They have daily activities for guests and staff there are welcoming, kind and understanding. If I'm in the area again I would go back to this hotel. The only thing is the elevator made jerky movements a little scary but we made it each day.
Creighton, Cameron & Janquiesta were all phenomenal. Vibe was great and atmosphere was the best. Can’t wait to be back.
Mandy was beyond exceptional and her food recommendations were something to definitely come back for . Ask for Mandy she’s the best server I had in Nola ever .
Staff is very friendly, inviting, and helpful. The overall condition of the room seemed dated. The elevator took forever to stop at each floor and made terrible noises and shook very bad. It was not a terrible experience by any means but with the amount of hotels in the area, I will be trying a different place next time I visit.
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is well kept and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic and Kevin in the Italian resturant gave us some great recommendations.
I love the hotel! I love the location! I love the vintage look! The staff is amazingggg:)
When I first booked this hotel, no where did I see any extra charges etc. The $50 valet(every night) $25(destination fee) I never heard of that before. They over charged me for some water that I never touched:(
The $260 despot is crazyy!!! I will never stay here again!
I’ve stayed in hotels all over the country, and while beautiful rooms are easy to find, genuine hospitality is much harder to come by. The Barnett delivered both, and it’s one of the few hotels I’ve left already looking forward to returning.
I arrived after a long day of travel, tired and ready to relax. Before I even reached the front desk, I was greeted with a smile, and that warmth never faded throughout my stay. Check-in was efficient, everything was explained clearly, and I immediately felt like more than just another reservation number.
The front office team deserves tremendous recognition. Julius, Tettis, Sierra, Brian, KC, Whitney, Brandon, and Raven consistently provided outstanding service. Every shift was just as welcoming as the last. Whether I needed directions, recommendations around the city, extra amenities, or simply walked through the lobby, someone always acknowledged me by name or with a genuine smile. Those little moments may seem insignificant, but they transformed the experience from a hotel stay into something much more personal.
What impressed me most was how well the team worked together. Even during busy periods, everyone remained calm, professional, and focused on taking care of guests. That kind of consistency doesn’t happen by accident—it reflects excellent leadership and a culture where hospitality truly matters.
The exceptional service didn’t stop at the front desk. Tyler at the Lobby Bar was fantastic. He’s personable, attentive, and somehow manages to make every guest feel like a regular. Whether you’re stopping in for one drink or spending the evening there, he’s the kind of bartender who elevates the entire experience.
A special thank-you also goes to Shawn at the rooftop bar. Between the incredible views and his friendly, attentive service, it became one of my favorite places to unwind after exploring the city.
I also want to recognize Dexter and Derrick with Security. Security staff often go unnoticed unless something goes wrong, but these two were always visible, approachable, professional, and genuinely friendly. Seeing familiar faces around the property gave the hotel an added sense of comfort and safety.
Finally, I can’t say enough about the host stand at Brutto Americano. jenera and Jayden greeted everyone with such warmth and enthusiasm that every meal started with a smile. They were welcoming, organized, and set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. I was truly impressed by how well Melvin and Alicia managed these restaurants and still made themselves available to greet and have conversations with guests in the lobby. I don’t know how they do it! I appreciate that they had my food in my room waiting for me upon arrival. Special thank you to Kaitlyn and Alicia for arranging that for me!
The hotel itself is beautiful, blending historic New Orleans character with modern comfort. The location is perfect for exploring the city, and everything I wanted to see was either within walking distance or a short ride away. The environment is lively and fun, but not so loud that my stay was disrupted when I was ready to step away from it. My room was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully maintained throughout my stay, and Shawn Curry always took the time to check on me as well. The experience is worth the price you pay.
What truly separates The Barnett from other hotels, though, isn’t the building or the location—it’s the people. Every employee I encountered seemed genuinely invested in making guests feel welcome. That kind of culture is rare, and it deserves recognition.
Thank you all for everything! You made my visit to New Orleans one I’ll remember for all the right reasons.
If you’re looking for a hotel where hospitality still feels genuine, book The Barnett. I’ll absolutely be staying here again.
My stay at the Barnett hands down was the best Hyatt stay I have had yet. I was traveling some states away and one of the front desk staff, Whitney, messaged me the day before to check in about of my needs prior to my stay. This was the first time I ever experienced that from any hotel stay. When I checked I was greeted politely by the valet, and front desk staff Julius and Whitney.
They had smiles, welcoming energy and professionalism that felt all would be taken care of and that I just entered "home". I was mesmerized by the jazzy decor and upscale feel of the lobby. There were also 6 entertainment spaces that included different types of eatery and vibes. I found myself at the Good Measure lounge which had an amazing jazz and house music set.
Honestly, I loved that there was something for me to do or get into on a nightly & daily basis. This hotel is only a 15mins walk from all the action, including Bourbon street. There were also three museums nearby to discover and two grocery stores within a 5min distance.
The room was large and very accommodating for more than 4 people, and thats with a double bed room. I thought I was in full sized apartment . I cant believe I forgot to take photos! For under $200 a night, this was a steal! My room came equipped with a full fridge and snack bar as optional purchase and a medium size fridge where I could stock up if I truly wanted for my stay.
At night , we had a very attentive front desk manager Brandon who was welcoming, helpful and let us know how we could get around town by trolley and provided map.
KC was also at the front desk ready to provide our next complimentary welcome drink. Which was provided everyday of my stay!
This again was my best Hyatt stay yet and I highly recommend if you're going New Orleans you don't want to miss this .I plan to come back to the Barnett not just for all these things, but truly to be Welcomed home by the Barnett staff once again.
Thank you so much: Whitney, Julius, Brandon, and KC it was a pleasure to be there in NOLA BABY!
This was one of Hyatt's best hotels up-to-date hotels in the area of the central business district. Valet parking attentive staff warm welcome Will definitely return. Thank you
I was a little unsure before arriving because the reviews were mixed at the time we booked, but our stay at The Barnett was much better than expected. The customer service really stood out. Tettis, the Guest Experience Manager, reached out before our stay to ask about things I liked, and when we arrived there was a really thoughtful setup in the room that was completely unexpected.
We were welcomed as World of Hyatt Globalists and felt recognized throughout the stay. The front desk team was very helpful (I believe her name was Trina) and the Tylers at the lobby bar were wonderful as well. Housekeeping also checked in by message each day when our sign was on the door to see if we needed anything, which I really appreciated.
The hotel itself was in better condition than I anticipated. The common areas felt stylish and well maintained, and the room was comfortable and clean. The location also makes this a go-to for future New Orleans trips. It was within walking distance of the Convention Center and the Superdome, which was perfect in the summer heat and convenient without having a car.
Overall, the service, attention to detail, and warm hospitality made this such a great place to stay. We look forward to staying when we return to NOLA.
The amenities were really nice
The elevator kept malfunctioning and you were spending 20+ minutes waiting for it. Also the worker in the coffee shop is rude and short tempered for no reason
A lot of amenities, comfortable beads, spacious rooms.
Everything was nice
The elevator was not safe at all in-compliant with safety issues
Loved the atmosphere and the food! However our waitress Chelsea stole the show. They were so attentive, friendly & knowledgeable about the menu. Their suggestions were perfect!
