Overall, a charming property with generously sized rooms, but be sure to double-check that your room assignment matches what you booked.
I booked a Superior Suite with lake view, but was assigned Room 11, which has a non-accessible terrace view instead. When I pointed this out at the front desk, I was shown an alternative room on the top floor of a connected building — but it was very hot inside with an extremely small window, so I decided to go back to Room 11.
This isn't a standard hotel, and I should have read the description more carefully. That said, I was surprised to find no slippers provided and a couple of flies in the room.
Carrying heavy bags between rooms on the narrow staircase wasn't easy, but I do appreciate the front desk girl who warmly helped carry my suitcase.
Boutique Hotel Steenhof Suites is een geweldige uitvalsbasis voor een verblijf in Leiden. De suites zijn ontzettend ruim en voelen heel luxe aan, al had een bad die ervaring helemaal afgemaakt. De ligging is uitstekend, precies aan de rand van het centrum, waardoor je alles op loopafstand hebt. Binnen is het aangenaam rustig en het gebouw is absoluut niet gehorig, op wat incidenteel gestommel van de bovenburen op onze dag van vertrek na. We hebben de eerste ochtend het ontbijt bijgeboekt en dat was echt heerlijk en goed verzorgd. Je hoeft het niet per se te doen, want Leiden wemelt zelf van de toffe ontbijtplekken, maar het is zeker een aanrader als je de dag gemakkelijk wilt opstarten. Het personeel was tot slot ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam tijdens ons verblijf. Een hele fijne plek om te overnachten.
Het was erg makkelijk te bereiken, bij aankomt goed ontvangen door het vriendelijke personeel. Alles werd duidelijk uitgelegd, de kamer was enorm en erg luxe! Zeker een aanrader wij komen zeker vaker terug :)

Er was niet iets specifieks wat ons het meest beviel,alles was goed.Bij aankomst kregen we een upgrade van onze geboekte kamer.Leuk en lekker ontbijt.Koffer was al naar de kamer gebracht.
