fantastic hotel, excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff, perfect location
Pros:

The hotel was beautiful, really nicely appointed. It was clean and friendly. the room was very large and comfy. The atmosphere was friendly and lovely. The staff were really happy to help.
The bed was comfy. The shampoo and soap etc that were provided were really good quality. There was a mini bar in the room with crisps, nuts, and drinks you could buy, and water available free of charge.
The breakfast was very very tasty with good options for vegetarians.

Met our needs well for a walking holiday. Room was adequate but a little small and quite hot.
Pros:

Good bar & television for sport etc. Breakfast v good (although coffee only average). Dinner good.

Cons:

Room was quite small for 2 friends in single beds. Not well ventilated/cooled in hot weather (a small fan provided, only)

Pros:

Nice little hotel, just a quick overnight stay for work. Its not the Ritz but does everything really well, friendly welcome, decent pub food, clean / cosy room with everything you need and reasonably priced, so ideal :-) 5*

The checking in experience!
I paid in full over a week before but the hotel explained that it was still 'pending'. Very embarrassing as it was a surprise trip for my partner. Instead of a seamless check in I was having to show my bank details and find the day the money left my bank.
I felt it was not up to me to chase booking.com but I did.
It should have been dealt with by the hotel staff.

We loved our overnight stay in this very comfortable and welcoming hotel.
Pros:

The hotel had a great atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was very well presented and comfortable. The bar and dining area was inviting and the food offerings delicious.

Good quality pub with nice rooms right in the centre of town.
Pros:

Rooms were great for a pub with rooms. Food was good, as was the beer.

Cons:

They could update the men's toilet for the pub and restaurant area.
