Das Personal ist freundlich und das Zimmer ist schön eingerichtet und angenehm groß. Auch das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren gut. Besonders praktisch ist die zentrale Lage – zentraler in Seattle geht es kaum.
Leider war die Luft im Zimmer wirklich schlecht. Das Fenster ließ sich nur einen Spalt öffnen und da unser Zimmer zum Innenhof lag, gab es kaum Luftzirkulation. Nachdem wir uns darüber beschwert hatten, wurde uns zwar ein Ventilator gebracht, dieser hat das Problem allerdings nicht wirklich gelöst. Ich bin tatsächlich sehr ungern ins Zimmer zurückgekommen, da es dort durchgehend stickig und unangenehm war. Gerade bei diesem Preis würde ich erwarten, dass es hierfür eine bessere Lösung gibt und man ein Zimmer hat, in dem man sich gerne aufhält und in dem die Luft angenehm und frisch ist.
Auch beim Frühstück gab es leider eine Situation, die uns irritiert hat. Das Frühstück wird von 8 bis 10 Uhr angeboten. Bei zwei unserer vier Frühstücke wurde allerdings bereits gegen 9:40 Uhr angefangen abzuräumen, obwohl wir erst etwa zehn Minuten zuvor gekommen waren. Dabei wurden wir auch nicht gefragt, ob wir vom Buffet noch etwas möchten. Das hat das Frühstück für uns unnötig stressig gemacht. Wenn das Frühstück offiziell bis 10 Uhr angeboten wird, würde ich erwarten, dass das Buffet auch bis dahin vollständig zur Verfügung steht. Andernfalls sollten die Frühstückszeiten entsprechend angepasst werden.
The room was well decorated and presented and the bathroom is well equipped. Breakfast was good.
It was very warm when we stayed and the room had no mini bar / fridge and it was not possible to open the window fully. There was a small fan provided but it made little difference.

The Golden Lion was absolutely lovely, it’s located in the centre of Settle and the room was gorgeous. The bed was super comfortable and the decor was great. We had a delicious dinner before heading out to see a band at the Victoria Hall. Breakfast was great too.
