An enjoyable experience in a beautiful town.
Pros:

Pleasant and helpful staff. Location. Breakfast. Good choice of dining menu, providing tasty food.

Cons:

Bedroom a little small. Shower not very powerful. A "Mind Your Head" sign above the door would be helpful, as the doorway is low, and at 6ft tall managed to bang my head a couple of times.

I loved the cute room, it was lovely and the complimentary tray was excellent, especially the chocolate truffles!
The staff were really nice and very helpful, bringing up a menu and fresh milk to my room, checking which ice creams were available. The little extras which really made a difference.

Cons:

Nothing it was a lovely stay.

Before our stay we entertained coming for a Christmas vacation. After our stay we decided against it

Room: Clean
Location: Convenient

Cons:

Air-Con inoperable made room very hot & stuffy. Therefore, had to have window open at all hours so very noisy from traffic. Also constant smell of food and exhaust fumes.
Location was good but had to park vehicle ten minutes from hotel.
In addition, hotel did not show reference to cultural importance re: Lake poets, Wordsworth, Coleridge etc
Staff entered our room without knocking while we were getting changed.
Food was not to the standard we expected when checking the website.

Good location but the place should be more described as a public house with accommodation
Pros:

Location and Staff friendly and helpful.

Cons:

On the site information it states - restaurant.There was no seperate area for eating it was just in the bar area. Phoned to check that there were vegan options as it states this again on the information, and told yes, but when we went to eat told no except for one of the salads. The double room was very dated, the pictures on the site are deceiving.

Good stay in centre of Keswick
Pros:

The hotel looks really good after the renovation. The newly installed aircon is a bonus too. The beds are very comfortable and the location is perfect, right in the centre of Keswick.

Cons:

The TVs in 2 of our rooms didn’t work very well, seemed to be bad reception and were unwatchable. One room was charged the same as the others but didn’t have a view, only looked out to pipes and had a strong smell from the kitchen so couldn’t be opened. Dinner in the restaurant took over an hour and appeared to be far too busy for what they could manage but breakfast was very good and the morning staff were very friendly.

Pros:

Excellent location. Excellent food and drink, good service and friendly staff.

Cons:

Could hear noise from street outside our room but that can't be helped. Noise from people going on and out of their rooms in the same corridor but again that's not really the fault of the hotel.
