The Bryson Hotel

No equipment really
My room was on the street with works on the road just below. Very noisy all day long. Not the fault of the hotel but still, not the best nights there

The curtains did not close at the top so the sunlight shone in from early.
The walls were streaked with damp/dust/dirt
The bathroom, toilet roll holder etc were covered with dust - which is not a good sign for a bathroom.
The remote was brown with dirt.
The skirting boards were made from carpet.
Damp/damage to ceilings.
This hotel is shown has being a 4* on booking.com; extremely misleading.

Por poner una pequeña pega, observamos una marca de humedad o una antigua gotera en una esquina del techo de la habitación. En cualquier caso, no afectó en absoluto a nuestra estancia ni resultó incómodo, pero sería un detalle a revisar para mantener el excelente estado general de las instalaciones.

El desayuno, creí que había pagado con el desayuno incluido... La chica del restaurante todo el tiempo con el teléfono en la mano y ni atención nos presto...

Cold and clean but not warm and welcoming
Hotel suffered from heavy road noise irrespective of double glazing.
An awful breakfast with shockingly little choice. So do not add on as an option, It really was very poor and it was basically a clean tidy but baron basement canteen. It was overseen by a gentleman on his phone who more resembled security than staff to the point my wife got a coffee and then left as she was on her own.

Shower tray was blocked and filled with water but managed to unblock it.

Very dirty. I also paid for city view and my room was in a corner with the only window facing a wall. The shower was dirty, as was the carpet and the bathroom door. The bed was comfortable but overall a dirty place.

La prise électrique de la toilette était défectueuse, le frigo surchauffait et restait chaud à l’intérieur. Le petit déjeuner était vraiment mauvais et définitivement trop cher payé pour des céréales et une tranche de jambon venant de l’épicerie. La machine à café étant défectueuse, le personnel en place nous a gentiment préparé un café dans les cuisines. Ne payer PAS pour le petit déjeuner.

Room was very poor . Fabric on the walls poor decor

The room was fairly clean on check in but not to a high standard. The bathroom felt much cleaner than the bedroom but the extractor fan did not work and had clearly not worked for some time as there were many water stains on the walls and the door. In the bedroom, I felt the need to clean the TV remote before using it and had to rinse the mugs and spoons provided as, although they had been washed, there was still a little residue of tea around the inside of the mugs. Also, no English breakfast tea provided in the room, or biscuits. I thought the tea may have just not been replenished as an assortment of herbal teas were available but after the room was cleaned after my first night I still didn't have any. English breakfast teabags are available at breakfast so I took a couple with me to have in the room. Breakfast is continental only; it's fine but not a wide selection. The photos provided on booking.com do show a full English which is highly misleading as no hot food is available at all.

Había algo de polvo en la habitación y personalmente las moquetas no me parecen higiénicas.

He didn't like the ambience there, it was very dull.
