Pros:

Honestly, there wasn’t a lot. I liked about this property.

Cons:

The staff was not really friendly, they weren’t connecting and they tried to sell me a train ticket, while I know you can just buy at the station. the room had a constant noise at night, I couldn’t sleep, overall the place is just dark, and next to the road, I didn’t like it

ציפו לנו, היה נוח והצוות היה יעיל מאוד. נשארנו יומיים במקום יום אחד. השף מעולה והאוכל היה ממש טוב בעיקר יחסית לסרי לנקה ולאזור. נענו לכל הבקשות והיום סופר נחמדים לילדים שלנו. החדר נוח מאוד והמיטות

Bien ubicado y decorado. Habitaciones amplias, cama grande y cómoda. Personal muy amable.

Cons:

Mala conexión de wifi. Habitaciones frías y la ventana de la nuestra daba a un muro. Colcha de la cama y cojines daba la sensación de tener polvo.

Pros:

Location is great, in vicinity of town centre about 10 min walk from bus station.. Property is beautifully decorated and maintained. Reception staff, Dilani and Mahendran are exceptionally helpful and courteous and even helped and guided in booking Colombo bus tickets. Breakfast was very good and the staff at restaurant are polite and courteous.

Cons:

On arrival, the receptionist Lenard was a bit abrupt and asked us to sit n wait - no initial gesture of welcoming though later when I again went to him to enquire about our booking, he did explain that he had another check in to complete. Howevwr a simple gesture of welcome and in few words explanation of the reason for delay in attending us was a basic courtesy expected from any hotel reception. On a few other occasions, I realised that he starts with a no to every query posed ro him to the extent that I stopped interacting with him and opted to ask for other receptionists who were both extremely pleasant (Dilani and Mahendran). Property is starting to show signs of ageing and needs some maintenance. I opted for a room upgrade by paying the difference as the deluxe rooms have windows right next to a tall wall of adjacent property and was stuffy. Teh upgraded room had shower broken and drainage issues and the property has no netting of the windows so have mosquitoes and some other small flying insects entering room as windows are opened. However when mentioned to receptionist Dilani, she was quick to provide mosquito repellent.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Queens Cottage Hotel with our family. We booked the bed and breakfast package, and everything exceeded our expectations.

The hotel has a very beautiful and unique concept, and we really loved the wooden style design throughout the property. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made our stay very relaxing.

The breakfast was excellent with many varieties to choose from, and the Indian food options were especially delicious. Every morning we enjoyed the fresh and tasty meals very much.

All the staff members were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. A very special shout out to Manager Mahendra he is extremely helpful, professional, and truly a great manager who made our stay even more enjoyable.

Highly recommend Queens Cottage Hotel to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya. We would definitely love to stay here again!

Pros:

Very central location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff

Cons:

The shower was in a large stone bath with a two foot wall to climb over, there was a noisy festival during our stay going on until 10 pm

Ok but needs lot of improvement .
Pros:

Nice area, beautiful surroundings, old english charm styled cottage.

Cons:

Steep price for average meals, breakfast was good, basic facilities for additional shower cap not given, soap too small…couple of broken fixtures for a suite. One staff was serving breakfast to multiple pax and was under stress.

Pros:

Spacious and comfortable room in walking distance to everything in the town. Restaurant on site was also decent.

Cons:

Staff were a little slow when bringing things to the room (extra toilet paper etc.), we had to ask multiple times but everyone was very friendly.

Pros:

Сподобався дизайн, Більярд, камін. Дуже гарно, якби ще було чисто то тоді б все було гаразд.

Cons:

Брудно, пилява. Багато поламаних деталей в номері. Телефон не працював, підлога холодна, не було килима спочатку, потім принесли. Сніданок звичайний яйце, сосиска, фрукти, повно хліба. Нічого особливого.
