Good hotel
Pros:

The breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but had a few issues.
The single room we also had was very comfortable with a walk in shower.
Location was very good for our needs

Cons:

The over bath shower, was a very deep bath so not easy to get in and out. No extractor fan in the bathroom. Mattress was soft. The pillows weren't very good either, seemed very small for the bed.

The people made it a memorable stay and the food was amazing!
Pros:

While the property is perhaps not 5 star luxury, its location is excellent. Walking distance to everything in Alnwick. But the best part of the stay were the exceptional staff - always cheery and helpful!

Cons:

Our room was a little run down and shabby but our plan was to stay only one night so for our purposes and budget, it was fine.

A great place that needs a bit of an update
Pros:

Great location. Lovely breakfast included and we also enjoyed a nice meal there. Comfy beds, clean & fluffy towels. Wonderful shower! A warm welcome on arrival. Free parking.

Cons:

It’s a bit tired in places. Handles falling off, dodgy bedside lamps, toilet flush broken and scuffs galore all over the place - it’s just needs some TLC. We ended up moving rooms on the second night, due to a ‘heating issue’. The rooms were cold, we asked for help with this, but after moving room “where the heating definitely works”, my husband had to get a bit narky and amazingly the heating came on. I think it was just the ‘on’ button that was the problem!!

Honest, fair price for a comfortable, friendly stay.
Pros:

Clean and comfortable room, we loved how we all had a proper bed not a sofa bed for the kids, ample free parking, lovely food and excellent staff.

Cons:

There is nothing not to like, it was exactly as we anticipated.

Short walk into Alnwick with free parking. Good food, nice staff.

Cons:

In need of an upgrade, rooms very tired, paintwork chipped everywhere. Our room wasn’t made up despite requesting this.

Great location dog friendly hotel.
Pros:

Great location, dog friendly, staff lovely.

Cons:

The pillows were all very lumpy and it was very hard to get comfortable. The room was very dark, the large light had a fan on it and it couldn’t be switched off without switching off the light.

Cons:

Location for breakfast. I was seated in the bar area rather than the main restaurant. Bothered by a badly controlled dog that was allowed to sniff at my table looking for food
