Pros:

We enjoyed our stay @ The Oaks, it was within walking distance to the town centre & a short drive to surrounding towns. All the staff were really pleasant & helpful.

Cons:

The only thing I would suggest is new pillows!

The staff were friendly and breakfast were enjoyable.

Cons:

The Room we stayed in seemed a bit dark, the furniture was made of some sort of metal so was noisy. Toilet took a bit of flushing and sink tap could do with replacing as it leaked from the back & started trickling down the floor. Pillows were quite thin also. I think the most irritating thing for me was the gap round the room door, the lights in the hallway were on through the night and this effected my sleep.

Exceptionally clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, easy walking into town.
Pros:

Large bedroom and bathroom. Lovely toiletries provided. Staff very friendly and helpful at reception. Staff showed us to our room. Fan in bedroom was very necessary and welcome as room was very hot. Breakfast excellent. Evening meal very good too. As an arachnophobic I usually find cobwebs and spiders in uncleaned corners but this place was exceptionally clean. Powerful shower, soft and fluffy towels. 5 minutes walk from Barter Books. Would stay again.

Cons:

One of our single beds was creaky and uncomfortable, needs replacing. Pillows not very comfortable. Occasional noise heard in room, also during night (sounded like a macerator).

Alnwick's best place to stay in
Pros:

The hotel is a real "gem". The staff were friendly, efficient and super helpful. The food was superb, especially the pork belly and the Sunday roast dinner. The location perfectly placed for exploring the area. The rooms were very comfortable. It was a hot day and a member of staff already had the fan on, ready for my arrival. The hotel is a credit to all that work in it. Definitely recommended it.
