Post Hotel Mittenwald

This might have been my favorite hotel we stayed at over our 10 days in Germany. Just awesome in every way. Very much worth the money. Highly recommend.

Classic Bavaria. Beautiful.

Awesome property! looks like a fairy tail, the rooms are remodel and very comfortable.

Altmodischer Schick. Schlechte Betten , sehr freundliches Personal; miserable Dusche - eine Katastrophe.
Frühstück war gut.

Over the years we have stayed here 5 times, the hotel inside presents itself as a traditional Bavarian hotel, the rooms are quite spacious but are in need of some updating, such as modern showers instead of a step in bath with shower attachments, the rooms need air conditioning, as it was unbearable in our room so we had to leave the balcony door open, only to get bit to death in the night by the local variety flies. We thought the hotel was overpriced at over €200 for one night's stay. Shop around.

Hotel was a great choice for a quick stop on a longer trip.

Günstige Lage in der Mitte des Ortes und am Fuß des Karwendel Gebirges. Sehr freundliches Personal . Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge in die schöne Umgebung.Ein SPA Bereich lädt zur Entspannung ein. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gern ein weiteres Mal hierher.

Cozy spot in southern Bavaria

Restaurant staff were rude. They messed up my reservation for a massage and still tried to charge me. They didn’t seem to care and didn’t apologize.
Hotel was clean. Room was nice.

Selten habe ich mich in einem Hotel so wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt wie im Hotel Post. Das Zimmer war hochwertig eingerichtet, sauber und gemütlich. Die Minibar wurde täglich mit verschiedenen Getränken zum (kostenlosen!) Verzehr aufgefüllt.

Besonders zu loben ist der einladende Pool-/Spa-/Saunabereich: alles ist absolut wertig, sauber und durchdacht eingerichtet. Hinzu kommen Gimmicks wie eine Teebar und Wasserbetten zum entspannen. Nicht zuletzt die super freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen runden das Wohlfühl-Ambiente ab.

Das Bio-Frühstücksbuffet war vielfältig und lecker. Lediglich etwas mehr vegane Alternativen wären wünschenswert. Auf Nachfragen wurde aber sofort eingegangen und z.B. Hafermilch organisiert.

Alles in allem ein tolles Hotel, das ein besonderes Flair versprüht und hohen Anspruch, Gemütlichkeit und Freundlichkeit perfekt zusammenbringt.

The restaurant next door made this location and stay. Absolutely fabulous food and hospitality!

Stayed here on a hiking tour. This hotel was the hi-light of our tour. Really lovely reception, stunning rooms above a hustling Main Street, super modern bathrooms and the swimming pool and spa were the icing on the cake.

Could definitely have stayed an extra day here.

We also ate in restaurant as being Sunday everywhere else in town seemed deserted and closed. Good resonable in restaurant, and standard breakfast for this area. The only place we stayed they produced gluten free bread in the morning.

We had a one night stopover. The hotel is right on the main street of pretty Mittenwald. The room was comfortable with a balcony with a view of the mountains. We had dinner in the restaurant at the front of the hotel which was an enjoyable meal & breakfast the next morning which had a good choice. Would have liked to do toast but no toaster. Only little gripe was the bar in the hotel lounge area was shut so no chance of a evening drink which was a shame. Also reception, inititally on check in and then later on we went to reception and someone was sitting out the back but didn't come to the front to see us for some while which was a bit rude. Overall though a good hotel that I would recommend.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Mittenwald. Beautiful lobby, beautiful room with beautiful mountain view. Absolutely incredible breakfast. So what's the problem? Hard, uncomfortable bed with uncomfortable, rough bottom sheet. Terrible pillows -flat & mishapen. Only 2 pillows for 2 people. No pillows in closet. One sink in bathroom. Poorly lit bathroom - a problem for contact lens wearers or applying makeup. The whole point of a hotel should be to offer guests a comfortable place to sleep. This one failed for me.
