Great hotel and a great receptionist A1
Pros:

Very good hotel in the heart of Ypres ,been coming to Ypres over 25 yrs and never disappointed with the acting I’ve stayed in .the ex pat lady on the front reception was helpful and got us booked into our favourite restaurant at very short notice ,she was a diamond ,unfortunately didn’t get her name ,but thank you

De locatie, properheid, vriendelijkheid, lekkere keuken

Cons:

Wij hadden kamer 102. Slecht geslapen wegens het aanhoudend gezoem van een of andere installatie kort bij de kamer. Dit was echt een afknapper voor dit hotel.

Perfecte locatie voor bezoek (centrum) Ieper en de Last Post.
Pros:

Naast locatie etc is zeker het uitgebreide ontbijt en de aanwezigheid van voldoende laadmogelijkheden voor de elektrische auto op de eigen parkeerplaats noemenswaardig.

Excellent hotel - we are already planning our return!!
Pros:

Location in the centre of Ypres with plenty of private, secure parking. Arrived early, although our room wasn’t ready we could park the car and take a very short walk into Ypres. We had a room on the 3rd floor, which was very quiet and spacious, with a working area and a cute little window seat. Plenty of storage. Complimentary water. Coffee machine, kettle, mini fridge, iron and ironing board.
Large bathroom, with a bath. Shower was in the bath, but getting in and out wasn’t difficult.
Lovely touches in the room included the mood wall (very funky!) and the low lights which activated during the night and acted as a guide to the bathroom, without the need to switch a much brighter light on. Even the bathroom had one, again very useful in the night as it provided sufficient lighting.
World War memorabilia in the reception area was very tasteful and respectful. As a policeman’s daughter I loved the old police force helmets!
Restaurant was excellent. Choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Good choice of vegetarian and vegan meals. Excellent attention to detail with the waiter asking if I was vegetarian and if I ate fish. When the unexpected amuse bouche arrived mine was vegetarian – completely different experience to the previous night in France!! DH had pork tenderloin, I had “no fish, no meat paella” all was beautifully presented and very generous portions. When we booked, a note was taken that we wanted to go to the Menin Gate for the last post, so we would be served within enough time.
Next time we are in Ypres, this will be where we stay.

Pros:

Mooi ingerichte kamer. Heerlijke airco (het was die dat 32 C). De locatie is perfect.

Cons:

We wilden water koelen en de volgende ochtend bleek dat niet gelukt te zijn omdat de koelkast niet werkte, dat was jammer.
De prijs van het ontbijt is maar liefst € 28 pp, dat vinden wij toch wat overdreven voor Ieper.
