Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff

Cons:

Not the fault of the property but there is a very large building site on the opposite side of the street at the front of the house. There was construction noise as a result.

Pros:

Central, with secure parking.
Linen of bed comfortable.

Cons:

Very very loud, as of 7.30 am to 4.30 pm due to huge construction site on neighbouring property.
Mattress old and not comfortable.

Disappointing stay overall
Pros:

- Good breakfast
- Room cleaning every day

Cons:

- The balcony door and windows in the room were extremely old and poorly insulated. Cold air and wind constantly came inside, and the balcony door was literally shaking because of the wind. The bathroom was even worse, as outside air was directly coming in, making it impossible to keep warm. Note: We stayed at room-6.

- The room photos on the booking platforms do not reflect reality. The room we selected looked spacious and included an extra sofa area in the photos, but we were given a very small room instead. The second alternative room they showed us was equally cramped. Do not trust the pictures here.

- Most of the hotel staff were neither helpful nor friendly (except for one gentleman working in the evenings). When we arrived, the female staff member did not even offer to help carry our luggage upstairs through the stairs. Strangely, after we finished carrying almost everything ourselves, she only carried a tiny bag. Overall, the staff seemed unhappy and impolite.

- The hotel parking area is extremely narrow. You may experience difficulties while entering or leaving. If you plan to leave early in the morning, make sure to organize this in advance.

- In short, with so many good hotel options available in Cape Town, I would not recommend staying here.

Casa linda e bem situada
Pros:

Quarto espaçoso. Excelente e muito bem preparado café da manhã, “staff” simpático e atencioso.

Cons:

Os quartos inferiores sofrem com o barulho do piso dos quartos do 2º andar, entendemos por ser uma casa antiga. Sugiro apenas que previnam os hóspedes por essa razão.

Would recommend if you like charm and personality.
Pros:

The staff was so friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The house was historic with lots of charm. Large rooms. Breakfast was excellent. Not a far walk to VA waterfront. So happy we chose Harpers House.

Comfortabel klein hotel
Pros:

Prachtig klein hotel met zeer vriendelijk personeel. Alles in het hotel is van een uitstekende kwaliteit.

Cons:

Naast het hotel zijn zeer lawaaierige werkzaamheden aan de gang. Hier kan de accommodatie natuurlijk niets aan doen, maar was wel minder.

Insgesamt eine tolle Unterkunft, die wir gerne weiterempfehlen.
Pros:

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Harpers House und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Haus und Garten sind sehr gepflegt und liebevoll, das Zimmer ebenfalls sehr sauber und komfortabel.

Besonders hervorzuheben sind die freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeitenden und auch das Frühstück und der gesamte Service waren sehr gut.
