Pros:

Facilities were nice and we can swim on the beach despite being off season (public beaches are not allowed to swim outside this resort as the khareef season is coming and the ocean was too wavy and had strong currents). This hotel is allowed as they have a wave breaker installed due to the Marina. You can pretty much stay here and not go out as they have everything you can think of. We were also upgraded to an ocean view room for free and had been given a late checkout until 3 pm for free.

Cons:

A bit far from everywhere. No normal taxis are allowed as it is a very exclusive compound. We ordered taxi to bring us to the airport and it cost us 15 omr which is like 5x the normal taxi rate. It is to be expected in 5 star resorts tho.

Cons:

Very obvious saving money regarding reduced staff and food, food was delicious but items was cheap not like other luxurious hotels I been through putting whole seafood, sheap fish like that

Beautiful property, lovely staff. Loved the pool and the beach.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, pool and beach area. Breakfast was good and plentiful as was the dinner buffet.

Cons:

At times food was not being topped up fast enough to keep up with the demand. It was a very busy weekend so we were not upset about this. Food and drink were on the expensive side.

Good option in Salalah at this time of the year ( May) for a beach holiday
Pros:

Beach is very good if you like calm and relaxing sea.
Room size is considerably large compared to other hotels in the city of Salalah.
Walking distance to the marina where you can find decent shops and restaurants.
Thanks to reception supervisor Raed for the late check out and the fruit plate on last day.
You can enjoy water sports there although price is a bit expensive.
When riding jet ski my daughter was so happy seeing dolphins swam around. It was our lucky time, so, don’t count on!

Cons:

Receptionist Hamada checked us in a very bad room facing the lagoon/marina. He assumed to give us best ocean view room in the hotel, which turned out the worst probably. Mold smell everywhere in that building. Then he gave us very nice room with Ocean view at the main building. The AC air was much better.
Breakfast buffet was good with basics. Not fancy with variety as expected in 5 stars resorts.
We had Dinner buffet on the first night and it was not good. Very limited options, meat kabab was shewing and dry. So we decided to eat at restaurants on the Marina for the rest of days.

It was fine - but i'm not sure it would be considered by 5 Stars.
Pros:

The spa and ratana who gave me a massage was phenomenal, one of the best massages i've ever had.

Cons:

The room daily clean was a little questionable - shower wasn't clean, bathrooms weren't thorough looks like they just made the bed.

Wouldn't recommend the buffet for dinner, but the breakfast was pretty good.

I asked for sparkling water at the pool bar took forever/ they didn't seem to understand what I was asking.

I asked booking.com to change my room booking to single occupancy and they said Fanar had to confirm it. On arrival Fanar then said that booking.com has to confirm it (not fanar). which meant that I had to then eventually pay a higher rate because of this miscommunication. Also spent 40 minutes on an international call to sort it.

I appreciate that it is Eid but it would have been nice to have been informed that the hotel wasn't serving alcohol wasn't served during this period in the bar.

The little band that gave me access to the water park also gave me a rash on my hand.

Read between the lines.
Pros:

The service from the staff was genuinely excellent throughout our stay. Everyone was friendly, helpful and did their best to make us comfortable, which was definitely the highlight of the experience.

Cons:

The apartment itself was decent overall. The location was good and the facilities generally met expectations. The room was spacious, which worked well for our family, although the apartment felt a little tired and lacked decoration or a homely atmosphere.

What was disappointing was that Booking.com was not clear about the fact that most shops and restaurants in the area were closed for Eid during our stay. This had a significant impact on the overall experience and value for money. Even alcohol was only available through room service. Considering the limited amenities and dining options available at the time, the price felt far too high and should really have been heavily discounted.

Cons:

It would have been nicer if the water of the pool was a bit colder. We were there at the end of may and the pool water was 32-34 degrees celsius.

A fantastic experience that we would definitely recommend.
Pros:

Our stay at the hotel was excellent from start to finish. The views were absolutely stunning, especially overlooking the marina, which added a really relaxing and scenic touch to the whole experience. The hotel itself was spotless—everything was very clean and well-maintained, which made us feel comfortable right away.
The facilities were amazing, offering everything you could need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. One of the highlights was the great choice of restaurants along the marina—plenty of variety and all within easy reach. The food we had was consistently good, with something for everyone.
What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made a big difference and added a personal touch to our stay.
Although the hotel is located about 30 to 45 minutes from the airport, we actually appreciated being a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. It made for a much more peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere.

Cons:

Some rooms smell humidity, we had to change the building the second night.
