Top marks all round!
Pros:

Bull is one of the most impressive places we've stayed at. We expected it to be good, but our experience was far and away above this. The staff are impeccably trained, friendly, and clearly know the business well. We were well looked after from the minute we arrived. The rooms are clean and well thought out. There are no TV's in the rooms, which we thought was a great idea, and gave us more reason to use the hotel's communal spaces, which were cosy and a pleasure to spend time in. We ate at the hotel's Horn restaurant on the evening of our stay, and found the food, choice of drinks, atmosphere, and the service to be excellent. Breakfast the following day was equally as good. Loved the whole thing, and we will certainly be back. Top marks all round.

Pros:

Food was great. Location was great

Cons:

First room was pokey, dark, large window directly opposite bed onto public walkway so curtains needed to stay closed for any privacy. Very little hanging space in bedroom or bathroom. Nowhere to hang awet coat.
Moved to another room which was unclean, dusty with lots of spiders and a dead beetle by the bed. Receptionist was rude about us booking through booking.com
At departure different receptionist listened to our complaints, apologised, said we should never have been shown to that room and said she would look to reimburse us some of our expenses. She never got back to us.
Really poor.

Great weekend!
Pros:

Rooms were nicely appointed and very comfortable. Restaurants and bar were great. Food was excellent. Most importantly the staff, particularly Becky, were kind, helpful and welcoming. Location is great and Burford is a charming town. Had some great meals, hikes and sightseeing. Would go back tomorrow and would highly recommend.

Below par vs expectations. Many better options locally.
Pros:

Location is wonderful, the decor and aesthetic are unique to most Cotswolds hotels. Generally, the staff are lovely although often overwhelmed.

Cons:

The bathroom flooded our bedroom, it smelt damp and several fixtures in the bathroom were damaged on arrival. Radio didn’t work. Breakfast was underwhelming, rushed and limited. Local patrons in the cocktail bar were exceptionally drunk and created quite a volatile atmosphere.

Absolutely stunning and amazing location.
Pros:

Absolutely stunning, credits to the interior design team and architects

Cons:

The restaurant was disappointing. I understand the pizza place, but something more traditionally English would be better at the horn. A very average Italian restaurant. I would recommend staying at the hotel but not eating at the horn for dinner and having dinner off property. The breakfast however was great!!

Looks cool and has a good location but very dirty and dusty in the room. There was also a leak in the middle of the rest

Cons:

Our room. I’d asked for it to be thoroughly clean as I didn’t realise at the time of booking, dogs were allowed to stay and I have an allergy. Unfortunately the room was extremely dusty, even down to the mugs under the trolley to make a drink with were dusty inside. Plus the milk looked like it was off after making myself a cup of tea. Splashes of some sort of spillages on carpet and down the side of the trolley. Dust on tables, hairs on the chair. Very expensive for one night at £430!

Stunning building and great service
Pros:

Such a beautiful historic building in the centre of Burford. A bit quirky with lots of historic nooks and crannies and unusual art work. Breakfast was one of the best
