We were so impressed with our stay at Ibis Budget, Porte de Bercy in Paris! Our initial room had a fabulous view of the river, but seemed noisy with the freeway out front, so we asked to see another room on the rear side of the building. It had less view, but was quieter and darker in the mornings. It was fantastic - with Eiffel Tower and wonderful city views at night that we hadn’t counted on!
Everything about the room has been well thought out, with everything where you would expect it. Very comfortable, clean and the room service staff are terrific, giving us extra towels as needed. Lovely to be able to open the window for fresh air and have darkness in the morning with the full blockout blind. The room was well insulated and completely quiet at night. We were out and about each day during our stay, and the bus stops are right outside the hotel. Just make sure you know which direction you need to travel in.
The restaurant staff are really great, and were able to help us with ice, cups and some food during our stay. There is a Carrefour supermarket in the complex next door, just fyi - it’s not open on Sundays. We managed to self cater from the supermarket. Fortunately, we speak acceptable French, so getting around Paris on the metro was a fun exercise. You need to be able to walk well up and down stairs and purchase tickets, but the machines and staff use English if you get stuck.
Thank you for a terrific whirlwind visit to Paris!
Bed was ok ,bathroom was ok , but that’s about all you get ! No kettle / tea coffee making items , no bedside tables , a very basic room , it was also very hot in the room but we could not leave the windows open as there was to much noise .
The location isn’t great what we save in staying was spent in taxis , there is a bus ? But it’s in frequent , on side note getting Ubers from this location can take a while ,
Staff seem uninterested in answers question I asked where I could get a cup of tea … maybe in restaurant,
Absolutely awful. Do not come to this hotel no matter what. The staff are EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful. The rooms are unclean and similar to a prison cell. The lights in the room didn’t work. To top it off the staff lied to our faces. We asked to upgrade rooms and were told we would have our upgraded room ready in two hours time. We asked the reception two hours later and they told us that they were wrong and we don’t have a room. I also saw the housekeeping staff cleaning without gloves which is extremely unsanitary and borderline illegal. Stay away from this hotel at all costs.
I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel.
Plus points- Some staff are very courteous, WiFi speed is good, 24 hrs running hot water, daily cleaning of room, Air conditioned room.
Minus points- Sone staff are rude and arrogant, very small rooms. Located very far from main city. At restsurant they could not provide even a cup of hot water inspite of waiting for quite some time..
If one is paying 60-70 € for the room then probably it is OK. I paid 111 €, it is not value for money.
My recommendation is, best to avoid this hotel.
My stay at this hotel was so pleasant!! It is a bit out from the city, yes, but it has the bus stop 2 min walk away, so it's easy to get there! Mohammed at the front desk was a sweetheart and made my check-in process smooth and easy, all while I was very nervously trying to communicate in french :D!! I stayed there in march, so the the room felt comfortable and cozy at night (There's no AC and no fridge, so i can't say how it will be in summer tho!!). the housekeeping team were amazing and kept my room very tidy and nice. The mall Bercy 2 is right next to the hotel, so if you want to eat some roast chicken or buy some late night snacks, you can do so at the supermarket (although only open until midday on sundays!!). The breakfast buffet is adequate for the amount you're spending, and I have no complaints about it!!. All in all, I would recommend other people looking to stay here, as long as they don't mind being a bit away from the city center :D! It didn't feel like a budget option at all, the staff made it feel like a 4 star hotel :)
Far from city centre and most importantly not within reasonable walking distance from metro. Hence it was quite inconvenient as nothing is accessible on foot and we had to rely on the bus to move around.
Big Carrefour supermarket right next door. Restaurant in the hotel serves decent food.
Petite chambre
Bien
Muy buen hotel! Limpio, habitación espaciosa, muy bien ubicado y con estacionamiento incluido.
Si llegas a Ámsterdam en auto, es el lugar mas conveniente.
Chambre trop bruyante portes claqués trop souvent.
Serviettes changées systématiquement alors que je les avais accrochées
The room for 3 people was small, type of bunk bed and they didnt make the bed on top, service lady said it is their policy.
Very good
Good price, not bad connection to subway and buses
Some elevators were out of service every every day during our 7 days stay
Buena relación calidad precio, pero pondría más ojo en la limpieza
Olía muy feo y no dejan papel de baño
This property is right next to a mall with lots of dining options as well as a supermarket. The public transit (bus 24) was also super convenient.
Do yourself a favor, cheaper is not always the best option… extremely far, old, full of homeless and noisy
