Best stay in kandy
Pros:

Steve and I had best stay at the hotel Suisse . Very comfortable room. Food was great, very high standard of the decorations. Very colonial. Snooker tables was added comfort for my husband. Special mention to Hansi and all the restaurant staff, front desk staff and management, all were very polite and very helpful. We both loved our few days stay and we will be back soon. Thank you.

Tiara is amazing. Lovely carrying young lady. Polite,friendly and knowledgeable,made our evening very special

We went to my friend's wedding. Everything was LIT. Very friendly staff. Especially Mr. Nadun and Mr.Channa. Very helpful. Everything was clean and viby. Would recommend

Un lieu magnifique et historique, mais un service à améliorer
Pros:

L’emplacement était parfait, très accessible. L’endroit fait partie d’un héritage riche en histoire et mérite d’être préservé pour durer. Quand on y entre, on ressent vraiment le poids de cette grande histoire. J’y étais venu il y a 35 ans, et j’y suis retourné avec beaucoup d’émotion pour me souvenir de mes bons moments passés. La piscine est superbe.

Cons:

Le personnel aurait besoin d’une vraie formation hôtelière afin de mieux comprendre comment prendre en charge les voyageurs. L’hôtel avait loué une partie de l’endroit pour un mariage et, dès 7h30 du matin, nous avons été réveillés par de la musique dans le jardin. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner a également été déplacé dans un autre espace, sans que les clients en soient informés à l’avance.

Le chef de cuisine nous a préparé un petit-déjeuner que nous avons apprécié, et nous l’en remercions. Cependant, l’hôtel devrait avant tout veiller au confort de ses propres clients. Nous avons été dérangés et gênés par cette organisation.

Les équipements de la chambre sont très anciens. Le réfrigérateur faisait beaucoup de bruit, ce qui nous a empêchés de dormir ; nous avons finalement dû l’éteindre. Ensuite, le personnel nous a dérangés pendant environ 45 minutes pour le remplacer.

C’est vraiment dommage, car l’endroit est magnifique et chargé d’histoire, mais le niveau de service n’est pas à la hauteur. Un lieu aussi exceptionnel mérite d’être mieux valorisé par une équipe plus professionnelle.

Relaxing with laid back old world charm and service.
Pros:

Excellent old world hotel with large , well appointed rooms and charming facilities.
Great pool and gardens. Hard to fault.
Not your typical high rise chain hotel.

Superbe hotel a l'architecture coloniale
Pros:

Sans doute l'hotel de Kandy dont l'atmosphère est la plus agréable ; c'est de l'intérieur que cet hotel révèle tout son attrait : c'est une machine a remonter dans le temps. Les boiseries sont magnifiques (le parquet du 2e étage) l'ambiance feutrée du bar et de la salle de billard, les portes ouvertes sur les jardins florissants, tout est superbement agencé.
Les chambres sont de tres bon confort, grande hauteur sous plafond, belle literie, salle de bains immense, rien ne manque
Les chambres donnant sur le jardin sont les plus sympa.
Le petit dejeuner se prend dans une grande salle ouvrant sur un jardin clos, c'est magique de le prendre en terrasse.
Le personnel est aux petits soins. Piscine assez grande, ouverte jusqu'a 20h

Cons:

De détails : dans la premiere chambre que j'ai eu (419) le bouton de la lampe de chevet allume et eteint les deux en même temps, pas très pratique quand vous voulez lire et que l'autre veut dormir

R Sigs Hockey Tour Stopover
Pros:

My group of 26 stayed here during our hockey tour. The staff were very attentive, and the hotel was immaculate. I enjoyed the character and history of the hotel, and especially enjoyed reading about the hotel history in the boards in the hotel foyer. The breakfast and evening buffets were very good, with plenty of options and open for a lengthy period. There was live classical music every night in the lounge, including saxophone, violin and guitar. We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel, right on Kandy lake and a short walk from the markets. Would definitely recommend

Amazing Hotel
Pros:

We stayed here for 4 nights whilst on a sports tour and the hotel is amazing, all the staff were friendly & always happy to be at your service. A huge hotel with a great pool, really good location near to the lake and the dinner & breakfast buffet was always spot on. Our room boys always made sure our beds were made and the room was tidy so thanks to Thisara Dilshan & Kegara :)
