Cosy hotel in Jordaan
Pros:

I loved this friendly, quirky hotel and felt immediately at home. Everything was clean and fresh with thoughtful little touches. It's in a great location overlooking a quiet canal with lots of good restaurants and bars close by. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe. Will be back!

As if being welcomed with open arms in a strangers home.
Pros:

You were given everything you needed and everything you needed was taken care of. Wonderful and cozy interior design, friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

The mattress itself was a bit too hard for my liking.

Nice location, mediocre room
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel in a twin room for 3 nights. We booked it directly on the website 5 months in advance. Here are some pros and cons:

Pros: nice hotel location in a historic canal house, comfortable beds, 24 hour access to coffee machine, free afternoon pastries, we received a complimentary breakfast voucher for 1 morning - nice continental breakfast (though would not recommend paying 18 euros per person for this)

Cons: Our room was small and dark with the window facing a wall and central fire escape stairwell so we had minimal natural light. The room was also immediately behind the reception area - the wall next to my bed was shared with the check in desk and it was quite loud in our room. At 2am we could hear people talking in the lobby and this kept us up at night. The location of this room was better suited for luggage storage or a staff office and we were disappointed to be assigned this room as we booked and checked in early and this hotel is quite expensive for the quality of the rooms and amenities. Additionally, we had brown stains on both our hand and bath towels - the front desk staff apologized for this and switched them out.

Overall, this hotel felt like a dressed up hostel with a few nice added perks and good location but the rooms are not worth the cost.

Overall great time!
Pros:

Had a great stay here! I stayed in the "Twin Room". My only complaint is that the beds in that room are SMALL. I am 5 feet tall (152 cm), and I felt like I was falling off if I moved around even a little. With that being said, the location of this hotel is perfect. You are right on a beautiful canal with so many good restaurants nearby. The neighborhood is safe and has so much to do. All of the staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The hotel and room were always clean. The breakfast was pretty good but I also recommended going to one of the many good restaurants in the area. I would stay here again but in a room with a bigger bed!

Great stay and very nice staff! Would definitely recommend.
Pros:

I couldn’t fault anything.

The staff were really nice and helpful, they also let us leave our bags before and after our stay.

The beds were really and the rooms in general were nice, the showers were great, very much needed air-con and a great fridge.

Cons:

It was a great stay. The only things that were slightly annoying was that the fire alarm went off several times in the morning and we weren’t sure why. The air-con was definitely needed but it did leek and stop working on the last day. The windows definitely shouldn’t open as far as they do. The showers need hand held part.

Mr. Jordaan Hotel
Pros:

The hotel is a quaint one in the beautiful Jordaan district by the canal. Most of the front desk were very kind and accommodating. A special shoutout to Maria! She was sincere, smart and friendly! At nite, the hotel and the area were quiet. Our room was understandably small. However, the shower did not drain well with water flowing out of the shower into the Small bathroom. Needed to use all our towels on the floor to prevent from slipping. The room service was under par. We received clean towels & the garbage was emptied. That was it; unlike other hotels, where they made the beds, organized, etc.. we did not receive the same service. The pastries at tea time were delicious. For breakfast, we ate out most days, except for the morning of our departure. Glad we did, because the breakfast, which was to begin at 7:30am, was not completely open at 7:30 am. The night before, we had informed the hotel that we needed to leave at 8am & would be at breakfast at 7:30am. Yet, even at 8am, when we were departing, tge set-up was not complete. We grabbed the Cold pastries and pancakes, some cheeses, meats & salmon to fill our bellies as those were the only options at that time. While the hotel is in a beautiful location, the overall service was okay. Would chose elsewhere if we return.
