Lovely. Amazing views. Loved the bar and lounge area.
Great place, stayed before few years back in the apartments and it was amazing, warm and clean and relaxing ambience. We stayed at the hotel part this time and the room didn't disappoint! Very clean and beautiful views. We had dinner on Sunday and food was delicious, big portions and friendly staff. Breakfast was amazing and myself and kids loved it. Thank you :)
Small bathroom
Spacious and well equipped apartment in a beautiful location.
Staff were very helpful and welcoming.
Brilliant for exploring The Lakes.
No issues.
Staff were very helpful. Really enjoyed the breakfast and the dinner was appreciated by all of us. Two friends, who also stayed, also had dinner with us. Really nice location and grounds. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable and we slept well.
Not so much about not liking... but I had requested a superior double and ended up with a family room. In the end though it was a bigger room than expected.
A small pretty hotel with very friendly stuff. A nice, bright, and spotless clean room, comfortable beds and nice views.
The breakfast was lovely and the overall service was excellent.
We were met with a lovely greeting to Roundthorn Country House, and the weather was great, so we were able to enjoy a drink on the lovely gardens to the front of the house. The food in the evening was very good. We didn't have a cooked breakfast, but the continental was more than adequate for us, and we were very much encouraged to go back for more should we have wanted to. The service was excellent. The room was in the loft space. Very roomy, but quite low ceilings, and therefore is was quite hot on a sunny day. We did have a fan though, which provided some comfort.
There was no shampoo or conditioner in the room. Something and nothing really, but I hadn't planned for not having any in the room so I made use of the body wash instead. There is a hairdryer though, so that was very handy.
الهدوء والنظافةوالفخامة والتعامل الراقي في هذا الريف الجميل.. وخصوصا تعامل الموظفة كم.
لا شيء.
Beautiful property in a beautiful location
The apartment was very comfortable and cleverly laid out to maximise space. Plenty of sockets and lots of lighting switches to create different ambiance.
Great huge bed and lovely powerful shower.
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property, however the duvet was very lumpy
Delightfull staff, great gardens, Had a lovely light lunch in the garden, Comfortable room, nice dinner, good well presented breakfast,
Perfect stop off on the way to Scotland, will come again.
NOTHING !! Even the weather was good
Beautiful location and views across countryside and fells, lovely dining room and large room, comfortable bed and plenty of parking.
No air con in rooms but windows do open and plenty of fresh air.
Our family stayed in two of the "apartments" - one one bed, one two bed. They are separate from the hotel. Each had bed and bathroom(s) with a very good kitchen and sitting area as well as a deck overlooking the fields and fells. The space in the two bed was exceptional. The rooms are very modern with classical touches. This is a great way for a family to stay together especially if you want to self cater. The location, just outside the National Park (which is a good point as it is much quieter), is perfect for exploring the north lakes, the Eden valley and the west side of the Pennines. Penrith is a great centre literally on your doorstep. Booths is a high quality supermarket with all you need and a lot of local produce and there is a farmshop just down the A6 in Plumpton for more local produce as well. The garden has great views over the northern lakes and Saddleback.
The staff demonstrated typical warm Cumbrian hospitality and were very welcoming
We did not stay in the main hotel so can't really comment on that. The bar was excellent.
Lovely setting and room was nice
A quiet location with good views to the distant fells. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped for a short break. The staff were great and I enjoyed a good breakfast. I would definitely be happy to stay again.
Nothing to dislike here.
Wonderful house in ideal location for M6
