It was very relaxing to observe the see from the window and the balcony. Everything was clean, peaceful, very relaxing.

Cons:

One minor thing: the host at the reception forgot to give me the guest card for accessing the beach: it would be ideal to give it in my hands together with the keys.

Fischhappen adieu!
Pros:

Wie gewohnt war der Aufenthalt angenehm und reibungslos. Das relativ kleine Hotel mutet insgesamt freundlich an. Diesmal gab es auch einen stattlichen Upgrade bei der Zimmerkategorie. Der Service war zuverlässig. Unverändert ist natürlich auch die Lage, sehr nahe beim Strand und der Fußgängerzone, ein dicker Pluspunkt.

Cons:

Ich bin unschlüssig, wie ich es bewerten - oder auch: für mich verarbeiten soll: Das altbekannte Wünschmann-Frühstück ist nicht mehr! Seit mehreren Jahren bin ich immer wieder hierher gekommen, immer wieder war das Frühstück a la carte ein besonderer Start in den Tag. Ob ich es wirklich besser fand, jede einzelne Scheibe Brot oder jedes Schälchen Obstsalat serviert zu bekommen, ich weiß es nicht (und wusste es nie, um ehrlich zu sein). Aber es war eben Wünschmann. Es war anders als überall sonst. Und damit ist es nun vorbei. Jetzt gibt es ein Frühstücksbüffet, guter gehobener Standard. Für das Personal ist die neue Situation bestimmt angenehmer, da weniger zu laufen ist und sich die Gäste eben selbst um die meisten Dinge kümmern (sie sind ja selbst groß...). Ja, es geht jetzt vielleicht etwas ungezwungener zu, die Entscheidung, was ich noch zu mir nehmen möchte, fällt nun eben am Büffet, im Angesicht des (guten!) Angebots. Und doch: Als jemand, der viel reist und oft im Hotel frühstückt, tut es mir ein bisschen leid, dass hier etwas Ungewöhnliches, technisch gesprochen: ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal, verschwunden ist. Dazu kommt. Ich vermisse ehrlich und aufrichtig die Dänischen Fischhappen! Süß-sauer eingelegter Hering war das. Ich mochte das und habe es mir jeden Morgen aus der Karte gewünscht. Anscheinend - so hat es mir jetzt jemand vom Haus gesagt - war ich mit dieser Vorliebe ziemlich alleine. Jetzt gibt es Lachs. Auch nicht schlecht - man verstehe mich richtig. Es tut der Gesamtqualität des Hotels keinen Abbruch, dass sich der Charakter des Frühstücks gravierend geändert hat; ich werde wiederkommen. Trotzdem: Das alte Wünschmann-Frühstück hat mir jetzt ein bisschen gefehlt. Und wenn dies ein kleiner Nachruf darauf geworden ist, soll es mir recht sein.

Cons:

Das Zimmer wirkte kleiner als es war, weil es lang und schmal war. Das Meer sah ich zwar. Aber mit Sichtbehinderung durch Gebäuden.

Cons:

Hätte solche Bauten auf Sylt nicht erwartet. Vermutlich 60/70 Jahre.Aber innen hat man versucht das Beste daraus zu machen.Straßen und Wege sollten häufiger von Vogelkot gereinigt werden,bei 4,10€ pro Person/Tag Touristenabgabe sollte dies doch möglich sein.
