Heerlijk relax na een dagje fietsen.

The room & bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This town and accommodation is certainly on the list for future visits.

Cons:

Info about parking was confusing. It turned out that street parking in the town is free so you have to find somewhere nearby to park. The narrow streets, nearly roadworks and not knowing the area made it a bit difficult.

Excellent hotel, highly recommend.
Pros:

Excellent standard of accommodation: spacious room, comfy bed, good bedding, incredible shower; lovely toiletries and quality loose leaf tea on the tea tray! We had drinks/light snacks in the bar - we were not disappointed, good selection of local beer; great staff in the restaurant. The setting of the hotel on the canal is very special; the wednesday morning market is a treat! Highly recommend this hotel.

There are only certain ground floor rooms where pets are allowed and only one dog per room allowed at €20 per night.

Oudewater zelf is fantastisch en de horeca beneden heeft sfeer, maar het hotel voelt vooral als een cashcow waarbij bel
Pros:

Oudewater is werkelijk een prachtige plek en absoluut de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Het historische centrum heeft veel charme en het café met de serre van deze locatie is ook echt sfeervol. Zeker met kinderen is het fijn zitten en de uitstraling van het pand is mooi.

Cons:

Helaas staat daar tegenover dat het hotelgedeelte enorm tegenviel. Het oude pand is extreem gehorig en tijdens ons verblijf werden wij met kinderen aan de straatzijde geplaatst, direct naast een groot feest dat doorging tot diep in de nacht. Toen wij rond 21.30 uur aangaven dat de geluidsoverlast met kinderen echt niet te doen was, kregen we een smalende reactie van een medewerker die beweerde “niets te horen”. Daarbij werd direct aangegeven dat het om externe factoren ging en dus niet hun probleem was. Uiteindelijk duurde het lawaai tot ongeveer 02.00 uur.

De volgende ochtend werd er luchtig gevraagd of we “lekker hadden geslapen”, om vervolgens opnieuw te horen dat het buiten hun verantwoordelijkheid lag. Dat voelde niet alleen ongeïnteresseerd, maar vooral totaal niet gastvrij. Je voelt je hier vooral geen klant die serieus genomen wordt.

Daarnaast vonden wij de presentatie van de kamers op Booking misleidend. Van de kamer waarin wij daadwerkelijk verbleven, bleek eigenlijk maar één foto tussen de advertentiebeelden te zitten. De verwachtingen die online worden gewekt, komen daardoor niet overeen met de werkelijkheid

Correct en gezellig
Pros:

De omgeving waar het hotel gelegen was vonden we uitstekend. Het hotel was in orde maar ik heb er toch al beter gehad. Het personeel was vriendelijk maar er hing een hectische sfeer die niet zo aangenaam is als je met vakantie gaat om te ontspannen . Wij vroegen om een lamp in de kamer die stuk was te vervangen omdat deze belangrijk was voor de nacht voor mijn vriendin die mindervalide was maar daar werd niet op in gegaan. Verder was alles ok.
