Service and staff were very good. Grounds were nice. Room very good.
Dinner was ok .. but not of quality expected of this level of hotel. It was fine (starter grilled cheese and tomatoes on toast; salmon) and main gnocchi was very good, burger was ok.. overall fine but not of quality quite expected for price.

In a hotel of this class, closing the bar early (10.30pm) because it wasn’t very busy is not acceptable. Plenty of hotels leave a barman on just in case a guest wants a cocktail. Here, because there were only a few guests at 10pm, last orders were called.

Amazing hotel set in the gardens looking over to the castle. The staff were fantastic and so helpful through out our stay. The food was good with a great breakfast in the morning to get you set up for the day. We had to travel to a concert venue and the hotel staff were happy to arrange our taxi's to and from the show.
The evening meal was disappointing, I got a steak at £47 and it was chewy and I couldn't finish it . The pavlova which I was so looking forward to was so small and simply not worth the money
