Excellent, well appointed room.
Lovely location and well placed for motorway
Amazing hotel set in the gardens looking over to the castle. The staff were fantastic and so helpful through out our stay. The food was good with a great breakfast in the morning to get you set up for the day. We had to travel to a concert venue and the hotel staff were happy to arrange our taxi's to and from the show.
The evening meal was disappointing, I got a steak at £47 and it was chewy and I couldn't finish it . The pavlova which I was so looking forward to was so small and simply not worth the money
It’s a beautiful building on beautiful grounds, even the car park is pretty

Beautiful property and gardens.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly, specifically Ian who was both the first person we met on arrival and the last person we spoke to when we left.
The staff were accommodating and seemed to work well together. We had a minor issue with our room that could be easily fixed and were offered another room if we preferred, we declined but it was a nice gesture. They came across as sincere and down to earth, which we appreciated.
Really nice place to stay, I’d definitely stay there again.
Poorly signposted on arrival. Breakfast & other meals were outside the main property and we were required to walk across the car park to/from there.
It wasn’t far by any means, but bad weather and even something as simple as simply not wanting to have to take a walk across the car park to get the breakfast we’d paid for is something I wasn’t overjoyed about.
The restaurant staff clearly needed some additional training to meet the star rating and price point.
Examples such as the salt & pepper missing from the table, I ordered a steak but had to ask for a steak knife after they’d served me my steak and they’d left the table, asked for something to be excluded from my breakfast but I got it anyway (I wasn’t going to eat that item so I didn’t want to waste it; I didn’t eat it anyway), the menu listed three items and the staff asked me if I wanted either of two items, ordered a pint can of Guinness 0% (538mL) and it was room temperature they served it in a 500mL glass (the wrong glass for a number of reasons, the inadequate volume being one, the fact that they had the correct glasses on site but not in the restaurant being another).
The above lack of attention to detail, though minor, really showed that there’s some work to be done.
Wonderful hotel. Fabulous staff who were very polite and for whom nothing was too much trouble
The only thing missing is a pool and jacuzzi which in a hotel of this standard and quality I just assumed there'd be. It's my fault for not checking properly before booking but I hope it's part of their development plans for the future.
The staff went above and beyond

Beautiful property, delicious breakfast and lovely staff. Room comfortable.
The staff was amazing and made sure we had everything needed to have a comfortable stay.
Beautiful hotel and restaurant, great food
Purely 5 Star
The hotel is a tremendous value for the price. The art deco decor of the rooms and facilities is really well done. The staff were extraordinarily friendly and helpful throughout our stay. And we LOVED eating at the on site restaurant that had live music.
That we had to leave :)
