Important information:

Please note that there is a 24-hour front desk and check-in is possible from 15:00. It is not needed to inform Zoku of your estimated arrival time.

Due to the purpose of clean rooms, Zoku Amsterdam can not provide an early check-in. Guests who arrive before 15:00 can leave their luggage in the luggage room on-site.

Please note that reservations of 5 or more rooms are only possible upon request. Different policies and supplements may apply for these reservations.

Poloha hotelu, vybavení apartmánu, útulná atmosféra, čistota, profi a sympatický personál, udržitelný a zodpovědný přístup (šetření zdroji), chutný oběd.

Cons:

Není to mínus jako takové. Ale jde o matoucí informace. Při rezervaci na bookingu bylo info, že je to včetně všech poplatků. Pár dní před pobytem jsme dostali informace o pobytu přímo od hotelu včetně informace o tom, že bude třeba zaplatit ještě městskou daň (poměrně velkou). Do poslední chvíle jsme tedy nevěděli, jak to bude a jestli se nám pobyt ještě prodraží, nebo ne. Nakonec po nás v hotelu už žádnou platbu za městskou daň nepožadovali. Chápu, že hotel rozesílá všem stejné obligátní info (ať jste si to zarezervovali na jakékoliv platformě), ale mělo by to být komunikováno lépe. Já jsem třeba byla 2 dny mrzutá z toho, že se nám pobyt ještě prodraží o městskou daň.

Très chouette séjour et jolie soirée au rooftop

L’ambiance de l’hôtel la proximité des transports bus, métro et des points de visite. La réactivité à nos demandes.

Cons:

Le manque de propreté des chambres à notre arrivée, et défectuosité de l’éclairage de la douche.
Le nettoyage et la réparation a été effectuée le lendemain matin.

Excellent if second-hand smoke doesn´t bother you.
Pros:

Zoku Amsterdam is a unique, innovative hotel, conveniently located to major museums, attractions, and ground transportation. They will provide you with a smoke-free room and a smoke-free dining area, as required by local law. Nor will their excellent staff expose you to third-hand smoke. The restaurant is healthy and delicious and the social and work areas are well-maintained and inviting. Zoku even provides musical instruments for their guests who want to jam.

Cons:

Unfortunately, smoking is a major health and social problem in Amsterdam. Even the outdoor areas of the Amsterdam center are like being in a smoking lounge - it is impossible to escape the second-hand smoke. According to the World Health Organization, tobacco kills more than 7 million people each year, including an estimated 1.6 million non-smokers who are exposed to second-hand smoke. Zoku Amsterdam benefits from its commercial district location which is further from the center with its wider avenues which make it easier to avoid second-hand smoke in outdoor locations.

Zoku provides extensive outdoor rooftop terraces featuring beautiful views of Amsterdam where, unfortunately, smoking is permitted. Non-smokers enjoy rooftop views, too, but unfortunately the Zoku rooftop terraces are generally off limits for non-smokers if they wish to protect their health. During popular social events, the Zoku terraces are jammed with smokers – a stark contrast to the very healthy cuisine served in the excellent Zoku restaurant.

The live musical events at Zoku are presented in the indoors social areas, but at one such event that I attended the adjoining doors to the smoking terraces were opened so that the smokers could better hear the music and immediately the entire music area was full of second-hand smoke. A Zoku manager later explained to me that leaving the terrace doors open is prohibited, not for the protection of hotel guests and staff but for reasons related to the operation of the kitchen.

A perfect stay stylish, comfortable, and in a great location.
Pros:

The rooms were very comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The location is excellent — central, but away from all the noise and crowds. The breakfast was perfect.
