Little Italy Hotel

Everything! Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, the room was beautiful and spotless with a wonderful view I enjoyed watching as the tide changed. The food was delicious, the hire car fantastic, I am already looking forward to my next trip to Tonga and will definitely be staying here.

Big clean comfortable rooms with a lovely view and nice little balcony. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and great with car hire during our stay. Whilst the hotel isnt central it was an easy walk into town - we took a taxi to the wharf early one morning but otherwise we were happy to walk to the central area. You did need a car probably if you wanted a change in eating for the evening meal there wasnt much around in the local area. Inhouse restaurant was nice for Italian food, and they opened for guests for Sunday evening meal too.

The host, Angelo is very helpful and friendly, as are staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Ocean view is lovely and balconies get a good breeze. Convenient and walkable distance to downtown.

Best hotel to stay in Nukualofa for sure. Everything is so good.Food in restaurant is very delicious. Room are very nice .Thank you for if the hotel .He is so kind and helpful. Will be back for sure and recommend like best hotel yo stay in Nukulaofa

We had such a wonderful stay at Little Italy. The staff were absolutely fantastic and they made us feel truly at home. They were warm, welcoming, helpful and incredibly kind to us during our trip. They made my birthday evening very special - one I will never forget.

The location was great, the staff friendly and rooms good. Especially good was that they can cater for gluten free meals.
They have cars for hire right out front which was good and a 10 minute stroll to town. The menu was one of the most comprehensive we found in Tonga.

Go with a relaxed Pacific mindset, and you will leave incredibly happy! We stopped here on our way back from the other islands. While not a 5-star hotel, it was easily the best place we stayed. We originally wanted to book an ocean view room, but since they were fully booked, we stayed in a standard room featuring a large king-size bed, an ensuite bathroom, and air conditioning. It even had a beautiful mural of a sea sunset and coconut trees! The linens were fresh and clean.

What makes this place truly special are the thoughtful small gestures showing how much the team cares about serving their guests. It rained on our last morning, and the owners even went out of their way to buy new umbrellas, leaving them at the front desk for guests to borrow and return. The kitchen very kindly provided Milo for a Mormon couple in our group. These kinds of details mean a lot.

Between the fantastic food and the busy, vibrant restaurant vibe, it is no wonder this place has been in business for 30 years. As the only restaurant we found with gluten-free options, it was a real lifesaver. The gluten-free lasagna, pre-ordered before arrival, was the best just be sure to coordinate early with the Italian chef, Angelo. Having their menu available on their website beforehand was also incredibly helpful.

The plentiful breakfast is also fantastic and is completely complimentary with the room rate.

The staff and owners provide helpful and friendly service. Meleseini, in particular, was amazing at handling all of our last-minute requests, including our airport pickup, rental cars, and food pre-orders. On-site car rentals are available for just $79 a day, allowing our group of six to hire two vehicles for island tours and a beach buffet trip. This place offers excellent value and a wonderful experience!

We stayed at this hotel during a work trip and had a very pleasant experience. The location is peaceful, with a calm beachfront that's perfect for an early morning or evening walk after a busy day. While the beach isn't suitable for swimming, it's a beautiful place to relax and unwind.

The breakfast was good, the rooms were clean, and the hotel had a warm, home-like atmosphere. The on-site restaurant serves excellent Italian food, and every meal we had there was delicious.

Overall, it's a great place to stay.
