A lovely oceanside room with a great view and easy beach access - despite it's quirks it worked.
Pros:

Location was fantastic, right on the beach and near to some time restaurants. It was easy to get anywhere from the hotel whether going into Ponta Delgada for sight seeing or out into the hills.
The staff were very kind and attentive. They answered all our questions and helped us out. They're very diligent about cleaning.

Cons:

I expected the ocean to be noisy but the room had some quirks that made it louder. On top of the waves the wind whistled in through some cracks and kept us up at night. Bring ear plugs! The beds were really hard unless you like a firm mattress.
The bathroom also had mold in it and everything generally smelled of mildew when it rained a lot and was humid.

Pros:

L’hôtel borde la mer et la plage est très grande et propre. Les réceptionnistes sont très serviables et gentils, particulièrement Edgar je crois.

Cons:

Les corridors et les escaliers ne semblent pas propres. L’équipement sanitaire en mauvais état et le petit déjeuner minimal.

breakfast was ok adverage, on the beach we really liked that great restaurant across the street, but nothing else close by, room was ok, but really need new pillows, sound echoes when people are walking in the hallways, not a very good nights sleep

Pros:

Great view from the balcony and direct access to the beach. Very clean room and super friendly personnel. We were happy that the heating worked.

Cons:

Intense smell of cleaning detergent.
I didn't like the pillows.

Für Aufenthalt auf den Azoren ausreichend
Pros:

Liegt am Meer, tolle Aussicht! Frühstück ausreichend, man braucht nicht mehr, jedoch am Kaffee sollte man nicht sparen. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr sauber! Man kann sich grosse Badtücher ausleihen fürs Meer, kostenlos!
