Everything was perfect, from the reception staff to the clean rooms, the great onsen, and the food. The staff was very helpful and helped us change our dinner timing when we came back and were running out of time. On our check out day, it was raining heavily and the staff helped us to inform the taxis that we pre-booked to drive closer to the hotel lobby. Overall, it was the best experience and we will definitely be back!
All was perfect! Our only regret is not booking a longer stay! It would have been perfect for a 2 or 3 nights, where we could explore and soak in the vibes from Arashiyama
We really liked our room and the private onsen spas. The atmosphere in the hotel was really nice and authentic.
The Japanese style dinner was not our cup of tea. We picked western style breakfast and it was a bit disappointment; bread was dry, scrambled eggs watery and didn’t have much variety.
A lovely modern ryokan that was spacious, comfortable and SUCH a good experience. We stayed for just the one night and between the lovely room, tatami flooring throughout the property, pick-your-own-pillow-type, free ice cream after the private bath, free delicious (best I’ve had in my life) ramen as a late night snack at 10pm, the provided yukata and the baths themselves, it was a spectacular time.
The location of the Ryokan itself is literally right outside the railway station and we loved our time in Arashiyama overall which the ryokan provided a good base for.
Two bottles of cold water are in the fridge for you in your room as well as a basket of a body towel and hand towel for use in the shower/public/private baths.
The baths were quite busy when I went and we had to do a lot of queuing, with the people already in the baths not respecting the 30m limit so I didn’t get to experience the baths fully.
Some of the baths were also not working when I was there, or were half-working - which is a bit of a bummer given the rate for the hotel!

прекрасный номер , он правда был очень комфортным и чистым . И высоко технологичным.
К сожалению опыт проживания в данном отеле испортился начиная с процедуры регистрации на стойке при заселении .
При бронировании Двухместного номера ! Который рассчитан на проживания именно двух человек , у них в системе не отражалось что будет проживать 2 людей .
Помимо высокой стоимости номера , с нас взяли деньги за завтраки для наших вторых половинок .
При просьбе принести в номер полотенца , нам отказали , сказали спускайтесь на стойку и берите сами . Хотя их просто не добавили в номер зная что нас будет проживая двое человек. После перелетов и долгого трансфера до отеля и после душа , уже нет сил заниматься такими вещами .
На второй день в отеле , за дополнительно оплаченный завтрак нас посадили за стол и просто забыли обслужить . Мы сидели и ждали 25 минут завтрак , после чего попросили повторно официанта нас накормить , и только после просьбы принесли еду . Еда была остывшая . То есть она была готова. Но они просто забыли ее вынести вовремя , хотя за соседнем столом сидела большая группа туристов из Китая и их обслужили сразу же .

ожидание частных кабинок - 1 час вечером , это тоже забирало у нас силы .
В последний день мы записались повторно на массаж , но к сожалению я не успела по времени придти из за экскурсионной программы . Так у них система что ты не можешь отменить запись и пришлось идти моему мужу на мое время … а массаж он не хотел .

Kadensho is a great place to experience a more traditional and authentic side of Japan. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature and in a lovely area of Arashiyama. The hotel is comfortable and very clean, and having both public and private onsens to choose from was one of the highlights of our stay.
We booked a 50-minute massage for ¥12,000, and unfortunately, we didn’t feel the quality matched the price. The person was very kind and clearly had good intentions, but the massage itself felt quite inexperienced. At this price point, we expected a much more professional treatment.
We were also disappointed with how they handled a vegetarian dietary request. We informed the hotel well in advance that one guest was vegetarian, but the response was essentially that they could simply remove or leave aside anything they didn’t eat. We found this rather unhelpful and not particularly attentive for a hotel of this level.

To była przepiękna japońska przygoda. Profesjonalny, pomocny i bardzo miły personel. Obiekt w stylu tradycyjnego japońskiego ryokanu z niesamowitym klimatem, gdzie chodzi się bez butów w yukatach. Bardzo komfortowe pokoje z pełnym wyposażeniem. Onsen z prywatnymi łaźniami (gdzie można wchodzić z tatuażami) oraz z łaźniami publicznymi (gdzie należy zakryć tatuaże specjalnymi plastrami). Do tego nieodpłatna możliwość zrobienia prania oraz suszenia, lody i mrożona herbata przy onsenach oraz wieczorny pyszny ramen. Fenomenalna okolica z przepięknymi widokami, lasem bambusowym i parkiem małp, które można na szczycie karmić. To najlepsze miejsce w Japonii, w jakim mieliśmy okazję nocować. Bardzo dziękujemy za to, że mogliśmy spędzić idealną część podróży poślubnej u Państwa oraz za piękny prezent niespodziankę w ramach tej okazji. Jesteśmy Państwu bardzo wdzięczni i będziemy wszystkim polecać to cudowne miejsce.

The hotel provides guests with lounge wear for the stay. Free ramen hour was a nice touch. A good option for a relaxing stay.
We couldn't use the public pool due to my partner's tattoos, something to consider before booking. The individual sauna and pool pods were ok but small and limited to 30 minutes use at a time.
