Basic but ok
Pros:

Great location. The pub has loads of character.

Cons:

£10 per day parking is billed as a discount but hotel guests deserve a better deal than that.
Reception staff were fine but seemed low setting the mood for the hotel as functional, after which it is easy to notice how basic and make do the room is. A real shame as the pub says culture history and charisma and the hotel says The Office.

Great location. Room was comfortable but staff were a bit lax and breakfast area needs better managing.
Pros:

Location

Cons:

Chaos at breakfast. Each of the 3 mornings we had to ask for bread for the toaster, butter and buffet coffee pot to be filled. Had poached eggs 1 morning and the yokes were hard. Poor service.

Pros:

The hotel is comfortable and the old part of it is amazing.

Cons:

It was very warm - some air conditioning would be helpful in a climate change world. The food was not very good I'm afraid.

Excellent, would stay again
Pros:

Easy to find, great location, staff very friendly, room comfy and had everything we needed.

Cons:

Room was clean, but certain bits could do with a 'smarten up' some bits in bathroom mainly.

Room was very warm... window was able to be fully opened and not restricted and a fan was supplied, however could do with bigger fan or aircon as was during heatwave.
