Het hotel ligt dichtbij Keswick.
Het verblijf is ons helaas niet zo goed bevallen. Het hotel stinkt 24/7 naar gefrituurd eten. Tijdens het ontbijt zit je tussen de blaffende honden die om eten bedelen. Daarnaast heeft het hotel hele smalle bedden, wat niet zo comfortabel is.
Staff are brilliant and can’t do enough for you
Bed was a double so a little small and bathroom was tiny
Everything, the room was clean, the food was amazing and the location is picturesque. There was even a fan in my room to help cool in these hot conditions.
It’s a little bit nit picky, but parts of the car park was gravel and being on a motorbike it’s not ideal but the rest of the hotel more than made up for a very minor problem

Nice location, beautiful old house
Rooms were a bit dated, TV offered no streaming services, WIFI was weak, shower didn’t work, light switches hidden behind beds and breakfast small and of average quality. With a little bit of effort the place could actually be turned into a real gem, right now it’s just a little bit overpriced for what you get in return.

I Love dogs but the hotel had a lot of dogs staying.. more of a 'dog hotel'..
It was my husbands 60th birthday and I upgraded the room, however, the view we could see was the roof.. not what I expected for an upgrade/special birthday.
Decent sized room, lots of storage, staff were lovely, breakfast was great! Very peaceful and all other visitors were friendly too. We were the youngest visitors by a significant amount which made for a lovely stay as a young couple who didn’t want to get involved in the summer holiday rush!
We didn’t love the bed, parking was a bit tricky at times.
Everything about the hotel was impressive, wonderful service , and position of hotel outstanding 👌
