Pros:

The breakfast menu got a bit old after 4 days. Not much variety if you’re not an egg eaters

Cozy hotel, kind staff, and great value!
Pros:

We only stayed for a night but the hotel was very cozy and the staff were very kind and responsive! The food served at the hotel was also delicious. We really appreciated how dog-friendly this hotel was!

Cons:

They do have parking onsite, but it can get pretty crowded and we (along with some other guests) had to park in some pretty tight parking spaces. While the cleanliness of the hotel was pretty good, I do think they forgot to take out the trash in our bathroom. It wasn't a huge deal because we were only at the hotel for a night, but that was a little off-putting.

Fantastic hotel, friendly staff and they really mean it when they say they are dog friendly.
Pros:

Excellent cooked breakfast and buffet. Oats and yogurt pots were very tasty. Doggy sausage was a great treat for Ted.

Cons:

Hot water with tea, toast without asking would have been good.

A gem of a hotel in a perfect location with great food options for all. We will definitely go back.
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent. 3 courses and items cooked to order. My wife is vegan and I am vegetarian so this was useful and they offered a good choice range. This also applied to dinner, where they offered 3 vegan/veggie choices - much better than other hotels we have used. The hotel itself was as expected. Lovely old fashioned feel - comfortably decorated. Lots of space in the lounge or bar to relax and unwind after a days walking. The situation was just ideal for us. Interesting walks from the hotel in the local area but also a short drive to Keswick and surrounding fells if you wanted to go further, The view from the dining room, bar & lounge was superb (and the bedroom!) Staff very friendly and quite low key - not in your face like some places.

Cons:

The parking was a bit tight for spaces but there is car park right by the hotel. When this gets full you just park in the hotel across the road so no problem really. This only happened once in our 4 day stay.

Cosy and relaxing stay in a pretty environment
Pros:

This is our 3rd time back at Ravenstone and we always have a lovely time. It’s in a gorgeous location, the rooms are clean and cosy, the bed and pillows are lovely and the breakfast is perfect too

Cons:

The parking situation is always a bit of a problem, there isn’t many spaces so sometimes you feel a bit apprehensive to go out at night and risk losing a space and end up being parked against the front and worrying about your car getting caught when someone drives through. Maybe having parking spaces that are allocated to rooms would help

Excellent couple of days.
Pros:

Stayed a few times in the past and always had a comfortable stay. Staff go out of their way for guests. Dined within the restaurant excellent evening menu, Sunday roasts are especially good. Highly recommend stay and will be back in near future.☺️
