Pros:

We had a comfortable stay at the Mercure Kota Kinabalu. Our room was a good size with a city view, but we could also see the ocean and islands, which was a nice bonus. There were building sites directly in front of us, but that's obviously nothing the hotel can control.

The pool was lovely, with friendly bar staff at Compass, and the food on offer was really nice.
The location was another positive, with Gaya Street Night Market and the waterfront both within easy reach.

Cons:

The accommodation itself was comfortable but starting to look a little dated and could benefit from some updating.

We also found the prices at the pool bar a little excessive for Malaysia.

Perfect place for accommodation.
Pros:

Perfect location as it’s nearby to many restaurants.

I have stayed here many times so I know what to expect here. The room was very good and very clean. Plenty of space. The ensuite was good and clean too. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice. Great place to stay

Easy to move around

Cons:

Location that pick of grab or any cars it’s a dead end and the need to get back out is a hassle. Rooms are old, air condition is not as expected, had my room changed because of their electrical problem. The windows are not noise proof, lots of vehicle noises
