Room service can be improved
It was a nice hotel, beds were comfy and shower was lovely. Good location close to just about everything. Breakfast was good and had a huge variety to choose from.
I wouldn’t exactly class it as a 5 star hotel, there were some huge cracks in the ceiling and water damage in the bathroom. Check in was from 1400, I turned up about 1420 and was told my room wasn’t ready and they didn’t know when it would be so I needed to go away and they’d contact me to let me know when to come back. I came with a group and they all got in so I was sort of left to fend for myself after a long journey. Not a huge issue but maybe delay your check in time if it’s a struggle to meet it. When I did get into my room I had no towels and when I asked if I could have one, so I could get changed to meet my friends for food they said I’d have to wait a while. Luckily it didn’t take too long but for somewhere advertising as 5 star I wouldn’t say it was. The “sea view” rooms are also not so much sea view, maybe partial but a slightly false advertisement on that part.

Very spacious room unit, perfect to bring the kids for their swimming pool. And I like the hotel direct collaboration with the Penan Women's Project, which you can see in their lobby area.
