Stayed here before and didn’t have any issues but this was the worse, first off there were roaches roaming all around the pool, my husband had to kill 2 cockroaches while we were sitting there, next someone stole our DoorDash order because the front desk no longer holds your food there, it’s put around the corner by the ATM where anyone can come and grab it. And THEN a hotel worker tried to come in our room saying he was “checking the key” watch was weird. The hotel manager Amanda said it wasn’t usually how they do things and was sorry for the inconvenience. So don’t stay here if any of these things would bother you.

Pool, location
Parking pass didn’t work.
If you stay there they will regulate you everywhere. It is like pre-school. Even when you try to enter the Pool-Area they check your private Purse. And if you have a Candy inside you have to leave it at the checkpoint.
Even they stolen my newbought Dress. We left it after Room-Change at the old Room and they were not able to find it. It was new still with the Tag on it.
We booked the Hotel for the Pool. We have never entered the Pool becaused at no Point we felt welcome at that Hotel. At the end of the day the three days at this hotel were a nightmare an the worst days of our vacation.
Las piscinas, el restaurante Biggio’s. El Starbucks dentro del hotel, la vista de la habitación todo en general.
Nada, todo me gustó.
Pool
I almost slipped at the jacuzzi area. The railing leading in and out of the pillow is rather low. It should be raised. Also it’s a safety hazard since many of the guest are having drinks and may have a fall with the slippery tile. It may be beneficial to have a slip resistant pad there.
For a hotel positioned as a luxury property with luxury pricing, my friend and I left feeling underwhelmed. There were no robes or slippers in the room, and only one bottle of water was provided. The biggest disappointment, though, was the pool. It looks impressively large—very Texas—but the water was uncomfortably cold that evening. After a long day, we were really looking forward to relaxing in the pool, which was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. With the rates this property charges, I expected the pool to be heated, or at least warm enough to enjoy. Service at the pool was also lacking. Although an attendant was stationed at the entrance, no one approached us or offered any assistance. We arrived around 9:10 pm, well before closing time, yet it felt like the area was already shutting down. Overall, the experience didn’t match the price point or the luxury branding.
Horrendous customer service. Hotel NOT recommended at all. Manager Micaela Fresia is rude, and puts guests out on the streets close to midnight. She wouldn't let one of our arriving party guests register because of lack of a corporate ID (was in his other bag which has not arrived from the airline yet) despite him being a Lifetime Titanium Elite member with over 3,000 Marriott nights stayed and 4 million active points. She said Marriott status has no meaning at her property. She wouldn't honor the guest's room reservation (yet they honored our other guests who arrived earlier and had been given rooms already). Front desk staff were quite rude and arrogant, and clearly lack adequate training and understanding of de-escalation and customer service practices. This property exhibits no care for frequent Marriott customers who have spent decades staying at their properties. Would never even consider this hotel, and will re-evaluate our corporate preferences.
Guest went next door and stayed at the Hilton, with a better experience.
Everyone was extremely nice. Recommend the M lounge Luz and Nich were amazing.

Our first time here at the Marquis for the Innovations Dot / Food conference and we were up graded to a corner suite, 2303 and what a view of the city, the pool and the convention center.
Our suite was clean, very roomy, comfy and very spacious. The bed was a large king and very relaxing. A large dining room table, living room area and a nice sized eat in kitchen area. We also did the M club Lounge area which was roomy, plenty of tables, with liquor and beer at night for a fee, and a great breakfast to get you going, light snacks during the day and small bites at 5:30 pm.
We also did the pool and the lazy river which was shaped like the state of Texas. That was pretty cool!!! Plenty of seats, lounge chairs all over the pool deck and a large lap pool and hot tub!!! Poolside service available.
Overall, very large hotel, wide long lobby, easy walk to the convention center, large pool, beautiful spa, spacious M Club lounge, valet parking, large meeting rooms, huge gym, and we dined and hung out at Biggio's, a sports bar, on the grounds of the main lobby. When Texan's say everything is BIG in Texas, they are right!!!
We will be back next year for the same conference!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
