Staff was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. Location was great- on a quiet street only about 10 minute walk to Plaza Grande/Independence Square. Room was clean and charming.
Breakfast on rooftop was delicious and had a perfect view of Virgin de el Panecillo.
Excellent location just a few blocks from the historic center, with many little shops and eating options nearby. Charming building from the 18th century, fantastic and helpful staff, wonderful rooftop breakfast every morning with beautiful views and crisp air. Located on a walking street, so no traffic right outside the hotel! The staff was so friendly and always ready to help resolve any concerns. Yale was especially cheerful and happy to answer questions about the city and provide specific info about different methods of public transit and local eating spots.
The only complaint would be the stairs we had to climb to get to our room (challenging on the first day at 9300 feet!). Knowing the building is from the mid-1700s made the winding stairs and unique architecture more appreciable as we went up and down stairs!

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Friends. The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very cozy. I also loved the location because it was convenient and close to many interesting places in Quito. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Quito. I hope to come back again soon!
Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit toller Dachterasse in zentraler Lage. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und gut ausgestattet, dazu sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war frisch und wurde liebevoll zubereitet, im Gemeinschaftsbereich steht ein Wasserspender zur Verfügung. Das Hotel als solches ist sehr gut organisiert und die Mitarbeiter bemüht und freundlich. Wir konnten unser Gepäck dort aufbewahren, während wir 4 Tage im Amazonas waren (hatten insgesamt 3 Aufenthalte dort). Das Wlan funktioniert super. Wir haben uns in der Straße des Hotels stets sicher gefühlt.
