Important information:

Full payment is required at check-in.

Please note that on-site parking is limited, and is on a first-come-first-served basis. Parking cannot be reserved. On street parking is available around the hotel (JA or JD zones) using council scratchcards available at reception (GBP 6.00 for 24 hours). The historic dockyard car park is directly opposite the hotel. This is subject to availability, and hotel guests have a reduced rate (conditions apply).

Some leisure facilities are chargeable and time restrictions apply.

Guests are advised that occasionally functions take place in the club. On these occasions it is possible music can be heard until midnight.

The Swimming Pool is open Monday - Friday from 3.30 PM until 8 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays its open from 8 AM until 8 PM.

The Jacuzzi is currently closed for maintenance until further notice. For Cash payments I.D must be shown on arrival. Smoking is not permitted and will result in payment of a fine, any damages to the property will need to be paid at reception.

We're doing some light refurbishment at the hotel to improve our guest experience, but any disruption will be kept to a minimum. Thanks for your understanding.

Pros:

It was perfect location if you are visiting loved ones that are at the navel base .

Cons:

Wasn’t keen on the breakfast and the seagulls are noisy early morning but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Rooms were very warm ( fan is supplied) in the room.

The hotel's location was excellent and conveniently close to restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. The hotel was also very clean, which I appreciated. Some staff members were friendly and knowledgeable,

Cons:

Unfortunately, my overall stay was disappointing. The hotel did not have air conditioning. Although I understand that air conditioning is not commonly used in the UK, I expected a hotel to either provide it or clearly state on its website that the property does not have air conditioning so guests can make an informed decision before booking.

I was also surprised that the room did not include an iron or a mini refrigerator. These are basic amenities that I typically expect to find in a hotel room, and their absence made my stay less comfortable.

The breakfast was nice & location was very good. Discounted rate for parking a good idea.

Cons:

Rooms were very tired & dated. Thought I went back tonm the 90's when I entered the room. Wallpaper was dirty & peeling. Carpet was stained with burn marks. Furniture creaking & damaged. Doors badly marked. Bath panel damaged. Sink cracked. Toilet wasn't secured correctly. Matress had a dip in the middle hence a very bad night's sleep. Room images on the website were not a true reflection of what we experienced. Rooms require total refurbishment. Overall not good value for money.

Pros:

Excellent breakfast. Room had everything we needed, including a fan - unexpected and very welcome in this hot weather. We didn't try out the bar or swimming pool. Access to Dockyard and other facilities - all in easy walking distance.

Convenient Location
Pros:

We had first floor room, which was a family room, adjoining Single with another bathroom. A fan in each room. It was during heatwave, stayed on hottest day of year 36 deg. Ice lollies given on check in. As old hotel no air conditioning in rooms. The bar did have one unit, it was busy in there as lovely & cool. There really is limited parking. Hotel did arrange a space but otherwise have to pay £6 for resident card to park on road. Location was great, 5 min stroll to quayside. Nice area as well.

Cons:

Going to pool, need to check in at reception first. Probably due to H&S but can only access pool once without going back to reception as sign in & out. No fridge in room. No air-conditioning. We were lucky with parking, but probably wouldn't stay again because of it. Arrived 3 hours before check in & wasn't weekend, still no space!

Don’t stay find alternative
Pros:

Rooms were disgusting and. It as describes. Has to walk through a building site to get to it which still has building debris left on stairs. Pool had scum floating on top. When complained was told we can cancel booking but due to graduation and other events no other hotels had availability. Would not recommend

Rooms dirty wallpaper hanging off wall and broken baths. Had to walk through library to which was active building site to get to rooms with building debris left on stairs complete health and safety violation. You could literally see the foam and dirt in the pool to which that rendered it unsafe to use
