Full payment is required at check-in.
Please note that on-site parking is limited, and is on a first-come-first-served basis. Parking cannot be reserved. On street parking is available around the hotel (JA or JD zones) using council scratchcards available at reception (GBP 6.00 for 24 hours). The historic dockyard car park is directly opposite the hotel. This is subject to availability, and hotel guests have a reduced rate (conditions apply).
Some leisure facilities are chargeable and time restrictions apply.
Guests are advised that occasionally functions take place in the club. On these occasions it is possible music can be heard until midnight.
The Swimming Pool is open Monday - Friday from 3.30 PM until 8 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays its open from 8 AM until 8 PM.
The Jacuzzi is currently closed for maintenance until further notice. For Cash payments I.D must be shown on arrival. Smoking is not permitted and will result in payment of a fine, any damages to the property will need to be paid at reception.
We're doing some light refurbishment at the hotel to improve our guest experience, but any disruption will be kept to a minimum. Thanks for your understanding.

Location and Naval feel
Hot lunches weren’t available when I stayed. Except soup! Minor issue

A perfect location with easy access to the Historic dockyard and Gunwharf Quays and a great choice of restaurants,
A visit to the Spinnaker Tower is a must.
However cleans the rooms needs to be commended, top quality.
We arrived early otherwise we might not have had a parking space, its very limited.
The bed was uncomfortable and after three days we ached.
Breakfast was chaotic, either lack of staff or just disorganized.

Room 220 was very clean but the bathroom smelt of sewers
Excellent hotel very friendly staff, very clean. Exceptional breakfast and evening bar meals. Hotel within walking distance of the dockyard and shopping centre.
The only downside is very limited parking if going by car, however the hotel is close less than ten minutes walk from the railway station.
Very convenient for visiting the museums
Some of the decorations in the areas downstairs were a bit tired and one lift was out of order.

We arrived early, but the room was ready so we could check in and we were lucky enough to get one of the free (hotel permit) car parking spaces at the front of the Hotel (the hotel can also sell an on street permit for £6).
The bed was comfortable, breakfast choices were good and the location was very close to the entrance to The Historic Dockyard.
Liked the vibe of the former Naval Club.
We were in one of the older refurbished rooms, which has been done well, but there were a few small points.
We found the shower difficult to operate initially, but one of the very friendly reception staff helped us out and it was fine after that.
The sink was very slow to drain, the toilet pedestal was rocky and the chair in the bedroom felt like it could collapse.

Allocation of room was very poor. Ceiling flaky, wallpaper peeling, damp stains on ceiling, room was very tired and not acceptable for renting out. We went to Reception to change rooms and explained why. They allocated a room in the main building. When we got to the room it was a twin room not a double room which was really disappointing, especially as it was our anniversary. We decided not to go back to Reception and just stuck with the twin room but not great.
Very comfortable, not sterile. Facilities were perfect for a short stay. Food excellent. Staff very friendly.

Reception staff sorted out a replacement room as original was unsatisfactory needing urgent redecoration.
