The pool was very small and the menu didn’t have many choices

The reception staff and the scent in the reception area
The pool area. Broken tiles, generally a bit shabby looking. The pool bar was manned sporadically. When a staff member arrived they didn't stay long. Some guests got bar snacks with their drinks, others (inc. us) didn't. Dirty dishes left lying.
First time we've stayed in a 5 star hotel where the only complimentary item in the room was a refilled bottle of water.
The one time we had a drink in the lobby bar we had to hunt about for a member of staff to serve us

Beautiful hotel with excellent attention to detail. The staff were so helpful and friendly, going above and beyond. Our bathroom in the deluxe room was fabulous. We used the pool a lot and it is much nicer than the photos which don’t do it justice. Had cocktails and pizza around the pool bought to us, lovely! Sun doesn’t hit the pool until around 11am so lunchtime onwards is best but it is open until 9pm which is good. 15 minutes walk to the centre of Granada. I’ve been coming to Granada for over 27 years as we have family here so chose this hotel for its proximity to Alhambra which is one of my favourite areas.
Everything was great. Just be aware that there is a plentiful mix of breakfast choices and good coffee (very important) but it is more European in breakfast choices. Don’t expect a full English. Plenty of fruit, yogurts, fish, cheese, meats, eggs, pancakes, huge pastry and cakes selection.
