Perfect verblijf op een zeer goede locatie.
Pros:

Zeer vriendelijk personeel en zowel de kamer als de gemeenschappelijke ruimtes werden zeer netjes onderhouden en schoongemaakt. Locatie is perfect voor het verkennen van Arequipa te voet.

Cons:

Het matras was erg hard, maar ondanks dat toch goed geslapen.

Pros:

La experiencia en casa de José Luis y Pilar fue realmente maravillosa. ¡Nos recibieron con muchísimo cariño en su familia y nos permitieron descubrir los sabores auténticos de su isla, preparados con tanto amor por Pilar, una cocinera excepcional!
La habitación era preciosa, cuidada en cada detalle y muy acogedora, con una vista al lago simplemente espectacular.
Estamos muy agradecidos por haber tenido la oportunidad de vivir esta experiencia, conocer a José Luis, Pilar y su familia, y compartir con ellos un momento tan especial. Son personas maravillosas que, sin duda, llevaremos siempre en nuestros corazones.

Pros:

Le personnel était adorable, le petit déjeuner vraiment délicieux, et pour le prix l’hôtel est vraiment un super plan !

Cons:

L’emplacement est légèrement excentré, et la chambre était un peu bruyante mais rien d’embêtant. On a eu un peu froid… avant de se rendre compte qu’on a dormi la fenêtre ouverte.

If hell had a name, it would be El Portal de San Lázaro.

The central location and the breakfast served on the fourth floor with a view.

Cons:

The room was cold and damp, with no heating at all, and hot water was practically unavailable during our stay. The bathroom was particularly disappointing: the sink did not drain properly and the shower was clogged. The room itself was also quite impractical, with old-fashioned furniture, limited usable space, and no proper wardrobe to store clothes. Overall, the level of comfort was far below what one would reasonably expect from a hotel.

Pros:

Hotel in una posizione ottima, la zona è tranquilla e a due passi dal centro. Lo staff è gentilissimo, e la struttura è quella della classica casa coloniale. Colazione buona in terrazzo molto panoramico. Camere ampie e in generale buone.

Cons:

Lo scarico del water va migliorato, e la richiesta di gettare la carta in un cestino lascia davvero a desiderare.

Arequipa is een zeer fijne plek en El Portal de San Lazaro is een geweldige uitvalsbasis.
Pros:

Aangenaam personeel, zak achterlaten voor meerdaagse trek was mogelijk. Ontbij was geweldig op hun zeer mooi dakterras. Gratis koffie en thee beschikbaar aan de receptie.

Heel vriendelijk personeel, mooie locatie, ruime kamers, heel comfortabel bed. Ontbijt is ook heel goed.

Cons:

- We hebben een heel slechte ervaring gehad met de wasservice die werd aangeboden. Enorm hoge prijs (2x duurder dan we meerdere keren elders hebben betaald) omdat het via het hotel wordt geregeld, en onze kleding kwam vol met vlekken terug. Nadat de receptioniste op ons verzoek daar over heeft gebeld waren ze niet bereid een oplossing te bieden.

Camera piccola, buia e, soprattutto, molto fredda vista la mancanza di riscaldamento. Abbiamo anche provato a chiedere alla reception una stufetta ma non ne avevano di disponibili.

Pros:

Heel vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk ontbijt op een zonnig dakterras, prima locatie en comfortabele ruime kamers.

Cons:

We zouden aanraden de wasservice niet te gebruiken. Dit wordt door een externe partij uitgevoerd, waardoor je een hele hoge prijs betaald (15 sole per kg, in de rest van het land betaalden we 5-8 sole per kg). Daarnaast kwamen onze witte shirts met allemaal gele vlekken terug, en was de wasserette helaas niet ontvankelijk om daar wat aan te doen.
