overall, lovely hotel. Maybe worth spending extra for a view of the river.
Pros:

Great location and very attentive staff! Clean!

Cons:

The room was a little stuffy. I thought we were going to get a city view, but the window opened to basically a wall and no screen, so if we open the window for fresh air, bugs would come in and I was worried about possible cats too.

"Highly Impressed! Perfect Riverside Location, Stunning Views, and Exceptional Service"

"I absolutely loved this hotel! The location is fantastic, situated right by the Douro River, making it very convenient, clean, and safe. The breakfast was delicious, and the views of the river along with the Dom Luís I Bridge are simply beautiful.

A special shout-out goes to the staff for their outstanding service. Initially, I made a mistake and booked the wrong dates, but when I contacted the hotel, they responded promptly and resolved the issue for me perfectly. I highly appreciate their professionalism. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this place!"

City break location but with a walk into City Centre

Good hotel a little out of the main city Centre but with river views. Good facilities overall but nothing exceptional.

Very nice room and great view, but with a price
Pros:

We had a really nice and specious room facing the Douro river. Great view. The rooftop is nice. Breakfast was good too. They have a very small parking, usualyy whoever comes first gets a place, but if you book ahead (nonrefundable) they agree to save a place for you.

Cons:

The nice view and proximity to Rebeira and Gaia has its price - it's not close to the city center, and going up from the river to the city level is either by many stairs or by a funicular that costs 4 euros per person and has a long line...
As for the room itself - it would be lovely to have 2 chairs in the balcony.

Highly recommend this beautiful hotel to family and friends!
Pros:

The location was perfect! Honestly, we were able to walk all through Porto and Gaia from the hotel. A great view from our room and the rooftop deck was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful-don’t miss it. Be sure to checkout a delightful restaurant just a walk away, The Bridge Restaurant. Amazing! 🤩

Cons:

The motorcycle noise from the street below was annoying, but once it was bedtime, there were no more motorcycles or loud trucks.
