Die Stadt und das Hotel lohnen sich.
Pros:

Die Lage ist super, etwa die Mitte zwischen dem Guggenheim-Museum und der Altstadt sowie dicht an der Einkaufsmeile. Das Zimmer war auch ok.

Cons:

Das Hotel war recht teuer. Das Frühstück war angesichts des Preises mager. Da hätte ich deutlich mehr erwartet.
Warum in booking.com die Wahl "Doppelbett" oder "Einzelbetten" angeboten wird, aber dann eine Mitteilung kommt, dass man das nicht zusagen kann, aber dass man sich bemühen wird, den Wunsch zu erfüllen, verstehe wer will. Im Ergebnis hat man ihn erfüllt.
Für Autofahrer: Das Hotel liegt knapp außerhalb der Umweltzone, in die nur Autos mit der neuesten Abgasreinigung hineinfahren dürfen. Die Plakette "B" geügt nicht in Bilbao, anders als in anderen Städten. Dummerweise führt das Navi gerne durch die Umweltzone, und lässt sich nur schwer davon abbringen.

Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff, allowing us to park our car and check in a bit earlier. Perfect location to walk everywhere. Very clean and comfortable with enough space to open suitcases, sit at the desk etc.

Super mit sehr nettem Personal. Anfahrt zum ersten Mal etwas tricky!
Pros:

Sehr stadtnah; eigentlich fast schon Innenstadt. Mit Parkgarage. Etwas tricky zum Reinfahren und Parken: Erst mal runter gefahren, muss man in einen engen Aufzug mit dem Auto (mit unserem "Fabia" gings gut; viel größer sollte das Auto aber nicht sein). Mit ein wenig Rangieren und der netten Einweisung des Mitarbeiters funktioniert es super. Hatten EintrKarten für nächsten Nachmittag Guggenheim; durften noch kostenlos bis 15.00 Uhr parken, nachdem wir rechtzeitig ausgeschenkt hatten. Super! Gerne wieder!

Cons:

In der Zugangsbeschreibung sollte vermerkt sein, dass man zum Anmelden VOR die Garagen-Einfahrt fahren soll (man steht praktisch noch etwas am Gehweg, der stark frequentiert ist) und dann an der Tiefgarage läuten! Dann wird man eingelassen. Auf der Straße ist starker Durchgangsverkehr und man kann nicht halten, um sich zu orientieren. Sind dreimal rund gefahren, bis wir einfach auf dem Gehweg vor der Garage fuhren und dann das Hotel angerufen haben. Die uns dann sagten: hier läuten und wir wurden sofort eingelassen.
