Park Plaza London Waterloo

Pool area is VERY warm to the point there didn't feel like much of a difference when entering the sauna. Very dark in the bathroom and there are no mirrors near any natural light so wasn't great for getting ready.

The room wasn’t ready when we arrived, check in took 40 minutes, the room was small for saying it was supposed to be a family room.
Breakfast was not monitored. There was girl sticking her face to all the plates and putting them back if she didn’t like the smell.
I had to deal with the situation

I paid with booking.com and they couldn't find my payment until the manager found it then I was given a room at the front of the hotel when I asked for a room at the back but they soon changed the room and everything else was good

The shower and toilet doors can’t both be closed at the same time. This is fine for a couple but with 3 people sharing a family room it’s not as good. Also it’s hard to find the bathroom light st night.

Our room had no shower door. With 2 people in one room that's a no go. We asked for a room with a shower door, which I assume in a hotel where I pay almost 1000GBP should be standard. We got a smaller room. I sent an official complaint and no one even replied to me. I thought the name Park Plaza means something but apparently just flooded bathrooms.

Nothing

I booked two rooms for two nights. One of the king rooms Air con was not working when we checked in. After a few hours, one engineer came and worked with the AC unit for half an hour in the bathroom ceiling. The shower was not draining properly,so for another half an hour he tried to drain the shower and said it’s fine now.
I requested for a room change but he refused saying that the air con should be fine now. Next day in the afternoon, the air con stopped working again. They sent another engineer who worked with the same unit again and said it should be fine now. And that they know that there is a problem with the unit and should be replaced soon.
They did not offer to change the room even then.
The same night it stopped working again at 3:00 am, the third time in two days.
We were drenched in sweat as there is no ventilation in the room. I went downstairs in the middle of the night and requested them to sort this out. They said unfortunately there is no other room available, so they gave me a fan.
The humidity in the room was unbearable and shower drain smelled bad.
I have spoken to Manesh, the reception manager and requested them to refund my money for one room which ideally should have been done there and then . Still waiting for his response.

Very disappointed in the quality of rooms and the service offered.

It wasnt very clean our room was very dusty the bin in the bathroom hadnt been emptied and handwash dispenser was empty had to ring reception to fill

Équipement piscine à revoir : une échelle hors service, peu de transat, emplacement pour poser nos serviettes peu pratique .
Ce sont vraiment des détails car l'hôtel est vraiment très bien ..

In room 230, where the tea and coffee area was, the socket to plug the kettle was blanked off, so you had to move everything to the desk area opposite. No big deal to be fair.
The shower doors were tired and looked like they needed replacing (yellow glass let the room down… I’m in the bathroom industry and would be very happy to give you prices to replace the glass with either bronze tinted or grey tinted glass, which would really match and finish the room off to give a much more luxury feel!), please give the maintenance manager my number to contact for a quote 👍🏻😀

Steam room wasn't cleaned well. Cucumber water wasn't refreshed regularly in the pool area. Hair conditioner wasn't replaced in the pool area.
