Great property and location. Spacious rooms with high ceilings. Staff is wonderful - front desk, valet, housekeeping. Cool vibe. Free breakfast.
This hotel was so beautiful in many ways, but it creeped me out. I'm a single woman, and the super large/wide hallways seemed ominous to me. My room was absolutely enormous, too enormous for comfort. The ceilings may have been 30 feet high and the room was so big it echoed. It just creeped me out. There was no view at all -- I looked out on some kind of huge metal infrastructure support for buildings. The staff was super nice, and the lobby/bar areas were terrific. But, I just didn't like the vibe. This is only my opinion, and others may appreciate all that space and height, but I just didn't feel comfortable. (BTW it is next door to the Amtrak station, so if you are arriving/leaving by train, it's very convenient.)
Beautiful hotel with extremely spacious rooms. Loved all of the original historic architecture details! And the central location was perfect!
Lacking housekeeping, days without the room being cleaned or towels replace. Never replaced the coffee cups or glasses until we asked. Breakfast was hit or miss all week. The front desk staff and valets were friendly
What a gem of a hotel. The exterior looks like a YMCA, but then you get inside and it is fresh and updated while having charming features from the original building. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. While I didn't eat the breakfast, my friends did and they said there was an excellent variety and it was delicious
Awesome places! Definitely will stay again.
Beautiful rooms.
Awesome view.
Very friendly staff.
Comfortable beds.
Awesome shower pressure.
Good choice of t.v. channels.
Great hotel in a historic building in downtown St. Paul. Amazing design combining the old aspect of a very old building along with a sleek design. Huge rooms with 15 foot ceilings. Close to everything .Highly recommended.
Beautiful building. Lots of character. Rooms are huge and lovely. Great view. Very helpful. Breakfast was good but standard for Hyatt.
We stayed in Saint Paul for a few days with the kids. They enjoyed themselves at the pool 🏊♀️ , which was very well kept and just at the right temperature. The location was great, just a block away from the 🚊 /metro station in the heart of the city. The service we received was excellent. But the room! My goodness the room was astounding! 🙌 so spacious and comfortable, with everything a family of 4 (and probably more) may need. Overall a great experience.
Cool building in the old post office. The rooms are spacious with 18 foot high ceilings.
Housekeeping is a roll of a dice - you may your room cleaned or you may not....If they don't make your room, then even getting clean towels is like getting a huge favour.
The valet parking is pricey, and there are no other self parking options offered by the hotel. And they are understaffed so plan to wait to get your car especially in the mornings.
There's a wide variety of waffles, eggs, granola and yogurt and coffee at the breakfast though it was about 3/5 on taste.
very quick (3 minutes) walk from Amtrak . Welcoming staff , was very nice about accommodating request for early check in.
Amazingly tall ceilings in bedrooms
This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Built in 1934 originally as a post-office, the hotel has been revamped, but keeping its heart in its art-deco style. 13 foot windows and even higher ceilings. The rooms are immaculate. I'm on a book tour and have been staying at hotels across the country. This is by far the best one. And weirdly, the least expensive. The staff are incredibly generous to boot!
Great hotel location. By the Train Station and close to some attractions. Easy to get on a bus to the Mall of America as well.
Clean rooms, valet parking, friendly staff front desk, friendly staff valet, free breakfast. The hotel is an old post office. Unsure if all rooms are like this but our 2nd floor room had high ceilings which made the room seem very spacious. Shower pressure is very high. Clean bedding, rooms. Parking is valet for $39 for 24 hrs. And they offer a discount if you are a member which I believe is $5 savings and they offer that at check in. Fitness room is clean and 24/7. Easy walking access to restaurants.
The union building was neat with history, but included breakfast was lack luster, with bitter undrinkable coffee. We found ourselves down the street having breakfast at the lost fox. That being said, rooms appeared clean until we were greeted by the local bedbugs. Of course we provided photo evidence and were given a new room. But the new room, we also saw another bedbug. Did he travel with us from the previous room? Or is this place just entirely infested? We don't know. We just couldn't wait to leave. And we'll now be quarantining everything! We presume the bedbugs are hiding in the pullout couches.
Clean nice property
Well they booked us in to the wrong room I guess and tried to book someone else into that room those people walked in the room while my wife and I were idk having fun lol. Then we got that straightened out I wake up the next morning to a 79 dollar charge on my card for the bar in the hotel that we never went down to. Called a few times finally got that taken care did try to talk to management about people walking in on us naked but no one got back to us. Messaged on booking and left messages on there answering machine and even got transferred one time to the manager and left a message there and no response.
Clean, comfortable, staff was nice. Breakfast wasn't great. Food was dry, burnt, and/or bland. Still mostly edible with syrup and it was included.
Very cool and pretty!!
Hard to find entrance!
