A delightful place to stay and celebrate a special occasion. Thank you!
Cons:

the receptionist was a little unprofessional - she made some comments about another guest, and was a bit off-hand at one point. Several of the waiters were excellent and really friendly, helpful and professional - one male waiter was a bit off-hand. Otherwise really good.

Prima locatie, mooie kamers met prima bed en douche. Ook heerlijk gegeten, vlotte en vriendelijke bediening.

Cons:

Kamers een klein beetje gehorig, maar 's nachts heerlijk rustig.

Lovely hotel but needs to improve a couple of issues to really be top notch.
Pros:

This is a beautiful hotel in a historic building. We loved the elegant style of the place and the very pleasant staff. The warm welcome from the night porter on our late arrival was particularly appreciated. We also liked the tea and coffee station in the room with a decent sized teapot and a good selection of teas. Breakfast was served in a lovely room with pleasant views onto the grounds.

Cons:

We found the pillows uncomfortable (one was too hard and the other better but rustled a lot).
I was also disappointed by the choice of bread at breakfast: sliced loaf from the supermarket. Given that there is no shortage of artisan bakeries in the area, I would have expected better quality bread from such an establishment.
We also asked three times for our bathroom sink to be unblocked (very slow drainage) but it was never done.

Great place, nice room , comfortable bed but for the price, not quite up to the standard of the competitionfor the price
Pros:

The location, the country house feel and the decor - nice breakfast with friendly, helpful service too

Cons:

The rather unsmiling utilitarian reception behind 2 computer screens, rather than a warm welcoming smile and for the price, an evening turn down and room refresh service in the bedroom should be normal?

Wonderful stay!
Pros:

Excellent stay, lovely room. Every member of staff we came across was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful.

Cons:

We stayed in a twin room, the bed was firm and pillows a little lumpy but just not my personal preference

They put us in the servants' quarters
Pros:

We chose it for attending Glyndebourne but sadly it fell short of our expectations.

Cons:

The room was right under the roof. It was cramped and hot. The bedding was suitable for winter but not summer.
There was an inadequate fan that we propped up on the ironing board (see photo). We asked to be moved but were told nothing else was available.

Very enjoyable stay, Would happily go back again if I was in the area.
Pros:

Great breakfast choice. Lovely location. Large comfortable room. Huge dinner! Very friendly and helpful staff. Not cheep, but if you can afford it, it is well worth the money.

Cons:

The ceiling lights in the bathroom flickered the whole time. That was the only problem.

Pros:

Sehr stilvolles und gepflegtes Hotel.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Cons:
