Breakfast was excellent. The receptionist was uninspiring with no exceptional welcome which might have been excpected for arrivals. She offered to help with luggage and escorted us to our room, so no complaint; just a lack of an inspirational welcome. Something like..... "Welcome back (she might have seen we have stayed before) to our hotel,.how good to see you how was your journey; have you come far etc etc"

The architecture of the building. The internal decoration of the hotel and bedroom and the food quality.
No fridge in bedroom. Evening restaurant service could be improved. There was not a real lounge bar in which to relax.

Die Lage ist fantastisch und das Anwesen ist einfach atemberaubend. Service und das Personal sind extrem aufmerksam und kundenorientiert. Der Garten und die Terrasse sind wunderschön.
Ein Manko ist, dass in keinem Raum eine Klimaanlage vorhanden ist. Das Bad ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und insbesondere die Armaturen könnten erneuert werden.

The evening Terrace Menu could have been better and the fish goujons we had were overbooked and very hard!
Beautiful and elegant building with a lot of history. Large bedroom and exceptionally clean.
All excellent. Would be a bonus to have an outdoor pool. You can hear the busy road nearby which is a shame but other than that I would certainly go back and recommend this lovely place.
Lovely venue for a wedding.
Breakfast was disappointing. Requested gluten free in advance. Not able to do toast, got a bread roll that was rock hard and inedible. Given a replacement which was just as bad. No alternative available. It's not difficult to keep a loaf in the freezer and toast as needed.

Everything! The room was so beautiful and fancy. One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Staff extremely friendly and helpful and the grounds were so beautiful.

We found it great value for money, especially the prix fixe menu at dinner and ordering breakfast from the menu, as opposed to a tiring, dreary buffet was classy.
What's not to like? I suppose the bar and kitchen could have stayed open for folk returning from a Glyndebourne opera.
Super fun to stay at a manor house for such a good price. The food was top notch. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Nice walk around the grounds and surrounding area.
I actually did not like that modern wallpaper, carpet and furniture were all over the grand public spaces. The fake flowers were a bit tacky as well.
