Pros:

Ein wunderbares Haus, absolut traumhaft. Herrliche Ruhe, das Örtchen aber nicht weit weg. Wir waren leider nur für eine Übernachtung dort, aber ich würde jederzeit gerne wiederkommen. Wir hatten den Raum 'Cottage', ich fand alles zauberhaft. Abendessen und Frühstück sehr gut, beides auf der Außenterrasse, herrlich. Danke!

Our 2nd visit. A good location for Glyndebourne
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent. The receptionist was uninspiring with no exceptional welcome which might have been excpected for arrivals. She offered to help with luggage and escorted us to our room, so no complaint; just a lack of an inspirational welcome. Something like..... "Welcome back (she might have seen we have stayed before) to our hotel,.how good to see you how was your journey; have you come far etc etc"

Lovely Victorian gothic hotel . Enjoyable short stay.
Pros:

The architecture of the building. The internal decoration of the hotel and bedroom and the food quality.

Cons:

No fridge in bedroom. Evening restaurant service could be improved. There was not a real lounge bar in which to relax.

Das Essen war vorzüglich. Der alte Fahrstuhl ist ein Museumsstück!

Fantastische Kulisse, toller aufmerksamer Service
Pros:

Die Lage ist fantastisch und das Anwesen ist einfach atemberaubend. Service und das Personal sind extrem aufmerksam und kundenorientiert. Der Garten und die Terrasse sind wunderschön.

Cons:

Ein Manko ist, dass in keinem Raum eine Klimaanlage vorhanden ist. Das Bad ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und insbesondere die Armaturen könnten erneuert werden.
