Ample parking at the hotel. The rooms were very good, as well as lovley and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Kaysha and Martyna, when we asked to change rooms due to the noise at the front of the hotel. If we stayed again I would request a room at the back, with a sea view. Breakfast was good, so was the evening meal.
The front of the hotel was noisy with traffic, sea gulls and as England were playing football, there was additional noise, nothing the hotel could have done though, i realize that. Also, the lift was out of order when we left, so we had to carry our luggage down the stairs, luckily we were only on the first floor.
Staff nice enough.
Mattress shocking.
Security light on outside window all night.
Foood good locatipn great
Lift
Didn't eat breakfast,we had an evening meal which was ok. The room needs a refresh the bed was awful you could feel every spring in the mattress, the curtains were hanging off the rail and had rips in them, overall it looked shabby.
Staff were exellent .
We booked a double room but were given a family room in an outside house. Access was through the dining room and down a flight of metal stairs. Then across a yard and up a very steep and narrow flight of stairs. I am 84 and my wife 80, so it was a struggle to get up the stairs to the room with our large case. We complained to the hotel and were moved to a double room in the hotel which was a vast improvemrnt. The staff were very good to us.
Good breakfast. Lovely staff.
I paid £100 to just sleep in a bed and the mattress was no good, I was lying on springs pushing through all night these mattresses should be checked regularly. I have far better mattresses at home for guests.
It’s in a great location and rooms are very comfortable

hi , was not happy with room service stayed 7 days , had to ask every day for tea sugar milk , towels and rooms service had to ask for towels and bed change, we even empty the bin, so not happy bed to old spring hurt when you all both 78 years old paid more this time to get better service but got a lot less than normal in the royal hotel, sorry but was not happy at all. thank you t e rogers. (had room 117)
a lot
All very satisfactory.
Outside your control but the outside noise level was annoying. Perhaps it was because of England's World Cup march on the Wednesday, the motor bike night on the Thursday which went on longer than expected and the Friday nightlife with rowdy youngsters until 4.00 am all deprived us of some sleep.
The location was perfect for what we wanted
The uncomfortable bed the well worn sandpaper feel bedding.the dated decor in our room
Superb location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money.
Room furnishings were dated and needed refurbishment.
