Prima hotel, mooie kamer, voortreffelijk ontbijt en diner. Slechte ervaring met de ontvangst.
Pros:

Een goed klein hotel in het centrum van Ribeauville. Prima locatie, rustig gelegen. Gesitueerd in een eeuwenoud pand. Prachtig opgeknapt: alles is top! van alle gemakken voorzien. Uitstekend ontbijt. Ook een zeer goed diner. Prettige bediening. Mooi terras.

Cons:

Onze overigens prachtige badkamer had een bad, maar geen douche. Oudere mensen zullen dat niet altijd prettig vinden. Waarschijnlijk heeft een deel van de kamers wel een douche, in plaats van het bad.
Het enige dat we ronduit slecht vonden was de ontvangst na onze aankomst. Het hotel is op dinsdag en woensdag gesloten, wat betekent dat de ontvangst op die dagen niet goed verloopt. In ons geval duurde het enkele uren voordat we naar binnen konden. Er was geen tijd voor een vriendelijk ontvangstwoordje of wat uitleg over dorp en omgeving. We hebben dat echt gemist. Na een dag of twee voor het eerst wat informatie gekregen. Een slechte herinnering die pas vervaagde toen we na twee dagen de eigenaars beter leerden kennen: ze waren eigenlijk best aardig.

Es war zu unserer Zeit sehr heiß und die Air Conditioning im Zimmer hat es uns ermöglicht gut zu schlafen. Top. Schöne Zimmer. Super Essen. Gutes Frühstück. Alles top

Ältere Leute sollten das Hotel nicht buchen. Es gibt keinen Aufzug

gemütlicher Aufenthalt in diesem sehr authentischen, schönen Ort Ribeauville
Pros:

Die Lage mitten im Dorf mit Blick auf den Dorfplatz mit Brunnen war sehr schön. Es ist nachts ruhig und man hört nur den Brunnen rauschen, was angenehm ist. Das Zimmer war gemütlich und zweckmässig eingerichtet, das Bett sehr bequem und das Badezimmer grosszügig. Wir hatten ein feines Nachtessen im Restaurant und die Bedienung war auch nett. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Cons:

Wir hatten die Suite und da wäre es toll, man hätte auch einen Teekocher, anstatt nur eine Kaffeemaschine.

Modern accomdations in an old town
Pros:

While the building might be old, the inside was very modern and comfortable. The pillows were great. There is a separate entrance to the lodging area so you dont need to go through the restaurant every time. Their restaurant and service is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. We were reminded that departure on Tuesday was by 10 as they were closed from then until Thursday. While we did not eat in their dining room, it was full of diners and it smelled wonderful. Breakfast was good and artfully arranged. Temporary parking was available for bag drop off immediately in front of the restaurant by the fountain. We arrived late on a Sunday but time for a stroll through their beautiful town, but much of the town was closed for Monday. They recommended the hike to the three castles and the abbey, which was very cool to do, roaming around the ruins without a guide needed. The 4 mile hike distance (estimates 2.5 hours, we took over 4 while exploring!) was nothing, but the ascent was more than our hikes usually include! Gorgeous views from the top!

Cons:

Everything was good. There was no parking provided by the hotel, but they recommended white lined parking spots two blocks away behind the church. 6 spots, and there was one available when we needed to park. Not bad, but not immediately at the hotel. Most parking in the old town area was 2 hour limit 9AM-7PM. Our rental car had a blue plastic clock with hands to set to your end time and place on the dash. It was the first time we had seen this used. Our reception desk person told us how to use it!

Wonderful boutique hotel and restaurant - Ribeauvillé's first choice
Pros:

Mouton is a wonderful boutique hotel. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located in a beautiful old building that has been tastefully renovated, making it both charming and very comfortable. It is situated right in the lovely center of Ribeauvillé.

The hotel also has an excellent restaurant, which we warmly recommend!

L'acceuil, l'originalité de l'établissement

Cons:

Pas très évident de se déplacer dans les étages avec les valises, différents niveaux avec des petits escaliers, mais cela est du au fait qu'on est dans un vieil établissement
