Best location in Goreme!
Pros:

Great stay at Arif Cave - the hotel is in the best location, immediately below the lookout point for the whole valley. We were really well looked after by Han and breakfast on the terrace each morning was delicious. Great view from the room balcony

Pros:

Hotel muito bem localizado, com uma das melhores vistas para os balões. Gokhan é excepcional, representa a hospitalidade em pessoa, preocupado com o hóspede o tempo todo e te auxilia em tudo, desde o café na chegada até a despedida. O café da manhã é tradicional turco, feito na hora e muito gostoso.

Excelente Experiencia en Arif Cave Hotel. Desde el primer momento, todo el personal fue extremadamente atento, siempre pendiente de las necesidades de los huéspedes y dando muy buenos consejos sobre actividades y lugares para visitar en Capadocia.
Uno de los grandes destacados de nuestra estadía fue sin dudas el desayuno. Además del buffet y de las opciones a la carta, servían una gran variedad de comidas típicas turcas, convirtiendo cada desayuno en una experiencia cultural en sí misma.
Nuestra habitación tenía una de las vistas más espectaculares que vivimos durante el viaje: cada mañana podíamos ver los globos aerostáticos pasar justo frente a nuestra ventana. Realmente inolvidable.
Queremos agradecer especialmente a Gokhan de Front Desk, así como también a Ummet y Mustafa, quienes fueron siempre amables, profesionales y extremadamente serviciales durante toda nuestra estadía. Su calidez y hospitalidad realmente marcaron la diferencia.
Muy recomendable para cualquiera que visite Capadocia.

Overall, this hotel has decent basic conditions and services. The hotel enjoys a great location with nice views, the guest rooms are clean and tidy, and most of the staff are warm, proactive and professional during our stay. However, our entire travel experience was completely ruined by an extremely unpleasant incident with a male day-shift front desk staff regarding hot air balloon booking.

We enquired about and reserved a hot air balloon activity through the hotel in advance, but had not completed any official payment . We returned to the hotel around 10 PM and decided to cancel the reservation for personal reasons, hoping to settle the cancellation properly through communication.

Unexpectedly, the male front desk staff became extremely agitated the moment we mentioned cancellation. He repeatedly insisted that cancellation was not permitted under any circumstances and demanded we pay the full 460 EUR fee for two people immediately. We tried to negotiate and ask for alternative solutions, but he flatly refused all our requests and gave no room for compromise. He even threatened us directly, saying word for word: “Nobody can leave this room unless you pay the 460 EUR.” His aggressive words put us under huge mental pressure.

We then requested the direct contact information of the hot air balloon operator to negotiate the cancellation terms by ourselves. He hesitated and prevaricated for a long time, clearly unwilling to let us communicate directly with the merchant, before reluctantly providing the contact details. He even pretended that he would help us resell the ticket through his friends to resolve the issue.

After we contacted the balloon company directly, we were informed that we only needed to pay a 40 EUR insurance fee for the cancellation, rather than the full amount charged by the hotel staff. When we told him this official rule from the operator, he flew into a rage on the spot.
